Still any doubters? C'mon, there has to be some. there were a lot of people calling him a bust before the season started for no good reason.

That happens to every high draft pick. Some Rockets fans even predicted LeBron would be a bust. My take on Yi is he has the tools to be a very good player, it's just a matter of how hard he works to get better, how he reacts when defenses gauge his skills and weaknesses and decide to stop him and how good a defensive player he becomes. Because he is tall and plays well on the perimeter, scoring shouldn't be a problem for him.

not sure why he always dunks with both hands, i think it looks better with a one handed windmill or tomahawk

no, their reason was because he is chinese. many of the people who thought he was going to be a bust thought we were only riding on his jock cuz he's asian.

i'm glad YJL is proving em wrong. he isn't the most hyped basketball player out of asia behind YM for no reason.

Yi still sucks. I'll give him his due when he can consistently play good for the next 3-4 years......like Yao. It's going to take more than one game, and definitely more than one season to see what this kid can really do.

two hands are safer than one. With one hand there is a chance of the ball catching the back rim and bounce right out

Would you have started your post with that r****ded "Yi still sucks" sentence if he was not Chinese? You seem to have non-basketball reason against this kid.

I love Scola's hustle. But at this point, I have to admit I will take Yi over Scola in less than a heartbeat. Yi would be a perfect PF for this team, young atheletic, good with Yao. He would kill opponents if he is left open and Yao would find him.

Scola+Battier+Novak for Yi. Actully Bucks can pick anybody on this team outside Yao and Tmac for Yi. I can only dream.

He will be a tough cover once he develops a power game. Right now most of shots are spot up no dribble jumpers. If he can have either a strong Dirk's like drive or post-up moves, watch out.

He's averaging 11pts/6rbs/1 blk. Nothing spectacular. But keep in mind that he is only playing semi-starter's minutes and is like the 5th option on his team. To say that a rookie from Asia 'sucks' while posting these numbers is just dumb. And if you have watched the Bucks games this season, you know this kid can play unless you are blind.

By the way, I am not Chinese.

LOL, the Bucks fans are now saying that Yi will become as good as KG. I don't think they would bite even if we offer Tmac. Yao might be our only player who can pry Yi away from them.

I still laugh when I see this thread title for some reason :)

The first thing apparent to me when seeing "E" are that his offensives moves that "won't ever work in the NBA" actually are effective when he gets in a groove.
