Wow!!! Pryuen's detective work is scary.

    Good job Pryuen.

Also the normal graduating age for an elementary student is 12, kids enter school when they reach 7, and they graduate after 5 years to move onto junior high. So it's natural for Yi to graduate in 1997 if he was born in 1984. If he were born in 1987, he would have to graduate in 2000.

Now I've lost a little respect for him.

Damn you pryuen, for destroying my potential hero!  :D

And the Yi saga continues probably the most interesting draft prospect this year. Funny how Oden and Durant are almost non-existant in comparison.

Man, I have predicted this TWO WEEKS AGO! He needs to fire his agent. This guy is going to really mess Yi up...

If Yi falls down to the teens that will be godsend. Makes it easier for McRoberts or Splitter to fall into the mid 20's where we could trade up to get them.

Hopefully teams will become disenchanted with Yi so we can get him at #26.

If Yi "drops" to Bulls, that would be a great acomplishment by his agent. However, DX sucks at draft mocking.

I don't think Yi will end up with Bulls. They already have Thomas, why need another similar guy? The fact that Bulls never commented on him is another sign that they may not interested in him. But that's just pure speculation.

If he followed "normal" workout approach and stood out in them, then he would have had good chance of getting drated high. Now? I stick with my prediction -- he will drop to teens, maybe Kings or 76ers (which is not all that bad) -- rebuilding team, less pressure on him etc.

I'm pretty sure the Bulls want Hawes. They need a center/post presence, and Hawes is the only player there to give it for them. all the later big men are PF's.

Looks like Yi was actually born in 1984. If so, what are the implications? If it is proven after he is drafted, will he get deported? If so, what happens to the money he may or may not earn from an NBA team? Were there any precedents like this happened before in NBA?

I think if any team reads this thread, they will think twice about drafting Yi. What good is it if you drafted someone who will get deported?

Anyway, pryuen might have ruined Yi's NBA dream. But then this is Yi's fault. He can blame no one but himself and his handlers.

This is professional sports, where lots of money and images are involved. Did Mutumbo get deported? Some could say pro ballers even get away with murder! ;) u get what i mean.

Also, it is not Yi's fault. He's a 'victim' of the system. Can he say his passport lied, even if he has the 'integrity' ?

The problem is the over managing by his agent and the wishes of the CBA. I agree it's much more interesting for Yi to land on the right team both financially and for buzz's sake. It's true that he carries with him a lot more off court responsibility than any normal black players.

I don't think there is any reason for Yi to get deported.

If Yi put his birth year as 1987, different from what is in his passport, on his visa, that will cause him real trouble.

Yi has to report his birth date printed on his official documents, even it is a wrong one, until he files a petition to all over the places to change it, which won't happen because it is a waste of time.

i donno why all the speculation. he is born in 1987 until proven otherwise by hard evidence, not on forums. look at the keypad, 4 is right under 7, i've made many typos between 4s and 7s before. that could be it.
