Yet another White House delay for the smelly turd that is Obamacare

My wife just transferred districts and our insurance premiums dropped from around $900 a month to around $500 for a family of 5. I'm hoping things stay that way.

 

That's a district thing. Different places have different plans with different levels of employer contribution. Without knowing the size of the district, what plans it participates it, what the union contract looks like, etc. I couldn't begin to tell you what impact it will have on you.

That Big New Obamacare Setback? Don’t Believe The Hype

The Affordable Care Act contains a slew of regulations and mandates on individuals and businesses in order to make the swath of benefits under the law economically feasible. Providing some groups a grace period, whether or not they deserve it, invariably inflames other constituencies who want their own special treatment. Multiple labor unions, for instance, were furious that the administration gave large employers a reprieve but didn’t carve out separate exemptions they’ve been asking for.

And conservative lawmakers and advocates, eager to disrupt and discredit Obamacare, can easily exploit the public’s lack of knowledge about the complex law and use these moves to paint it as a train wreck waiting to happen. The GOP’s anxiety is rising as the law’s major components are set to take effect in the coming months,

Actually, the timeline for implementation is part of the law too. So when Obama seeks to delay part of the implementation, should we just tell him that it's the law and to deal?

Now matter how much you try to derail and discredit healthcare reform, with the army of shills you have paid to flood social media, and with the daily bombardment of dishonest talking points you churn out across corporate media, American families won and you lost. I don't expect you to stop trying, but it's important that you understand you have no hope of turning back the clock on affordable healthcare.

PS, Thanks for calling it Obamacare, because in five years when 99% of America loves healthcare reform, the right wing will not be able to claim credit for one single bit of it.

It's not really surprising that companies able to put workers on part time are doing so. It is the same rhetoric as low taxes creates jobs. The ACA is trying to force companies to do a good thing and for now some are not coming to play ball. Initially, I can see a backlash because of executive greed, but when this becomes accepted it will be great for american citizens.

 

It is a joke of an insult that Bugs Bunny used regularly when talking about Elmer Fudd.

 

What content? Y'all (conservatives opposed to anything that Obama or the Democrats stand for) are going apoplectic about quite literally everything, hoping, praying, LONGING for an actual scandal. You have given up on even the very idea of good governance, have abdicated your place in the process of generating legislation which will actually help America move forwards, and have become a party of knee jerk reactionaries.

I would dearly love to begin voting Republican again as I did in the first presidential election for which I was eligible. However, as long people like you are actually allowed to have a voice in the party, that simply won't happen.

Keep spewing your tripe, just keep in mind that as long as you do, any electoral victories you get will be transitory because people like me can smell your BS from a mile away.
