What about his latest? I need to get that next. Everything the guy does is gold so far.

Also, I thought you hated The Darkness? You said they sucked opening for the Wildhearts. This new one seems pretty outstanding.

I like the song that is included on the Madden NFL 06: "Bat Country"

The Madden NFL 06 soundtrack is great, I like many songs of it.

OK kids, I need some rock with nuts, not screamers, not metal, not angst filled lyricist, just some new bands that play straight up rock music. Newish bands I dig would be Jet and Fountains of Wayne...Clap And Say Yeah has promise (waiting for the road trip to listen to the whole thang)

Gimme some new bands that might measure up to my Who, Allman Brothers, SRV, Little Feat standards.

More poppy version of Godspeed/Mogwai. This album inparticular is a very easy and enjoyable listen. Gets me through an hour of monotony. A good review of the album is here.link

thats my favorite slowdive album. i just heard that they rereleased all of their records with bonus disks of unreleased/live/demos stuff. kind of like the sonic youth reissues that are coming out.

    rufus wainwright - want one
    pixies - come on pilgrim
bill hicks - live at oxford (1992)
the glove - blue sunshine (robert smith of the cure w/ the bassist from souixsie and the banshees circa 1983).

steve severin - he's pretty much the melody-man behind siouxsie and the banshees (budgie, the drummer, actually did most of the composing.)
either way, blue sunshine is a nice album!

I'll add Bloc Party, Interpol, and Wilco to that list.

    Just added to the car:
    "Silent Alarm" - Bloc Party
    "Hot Fuss" - The Killers
    "Parachutes" - Coldplay
    "Strange & Beautiful" - Aqualung
    "Hopes and Fears" - Keane
    "Antics" - Interpol

Got to see how these sound with the new Alpine system. :)

For those of you who have the new Franz Ferdinand cd, on a scale of 1-10 how much better is their new album from their self-titled? I've been hesistant to get it, would like to get some thoughts on it first.

I like the first one a bit better. But the 2nd one is still well worth it. Most critics seem to really like both.
