I think it's time to find a new nickname for Bonzi. I think he is in shape enough now to not be called "Bouncy Whales". I like to call him The Bonz. Bullard called him Bonzaaaai tonight. maybe we should start a whole new thread with a poll and everything.

I know you are joking.....but I really loved Jeff tonight. He kept his cool while Pops acted like a butthead. However, I did love his passion when he punched the "false wall" that seperates the fans from the Rocket's bench.

He showed us some serious nerve (cause we got robbed a few times) under pressure, but also didnt act disinterested.

I just enjoyed the elbow he throws at Ginobili. Wish Yao can do that a few times. You push me, I elbow back. I might get a foul, but you definitely hurt, :D :D

i've always benn neutral on the bonzi issue. i've always thought that if bonzi doesn't cause problemes he'll help us out a lot. we just have to hope that he behaves.

what was this about him recently saying that he loves it here and that he doesn't want to be traded?
    Was it in the chronicle?
I knew once he got in shape he'd help us out, especially against the Spurs. The way he manhandled Bowen and Manu in the playoffs last year was very impressive.

I was there in San Antonio tonight and lets just say Bonzi played physical and took it to the house. Bonzi is the man.

All I wanted to say was that Bonzi is a bona fide Spurs killer.

Wells is a talented player, and a Spurs killer. With his performance, we are a much better team.
    I love this guy!

I was pretty sure that Bonzi would produce when given his chance.. he has nothing to gain by being a knuckle head when on the other hand if he becomes a productive team player he might be able to cash in at the end of the season. As for his attitude it is exactly what this team needs. We have too many guys that are laid back and calm and we need someone that plays rough and has the mindset to back it up. Ever since we got TMac, Ive been trying to figure out trade scenarios where we could get a guy like bonzi or artest, and its good to see it finally working out.

Let's hope Bonzi will take MLE plus a certain Chinese shoe deal to stay with us!

Man when's rafer's contract gonna expire? I just hope we can afford him next year. But he's going to test the market most likely.

If the chemistry holds up like this, I hope we are definitely go after Bonzi next season. He may be the best complement to Yao we have yet to find.

Plus soon we can add the play making of TMAC to the mix.

If we could lock up Bonzi for the duration of Tracy's contract, that may salvage TMAC's last 3 years since he can just make plays and Bonzi and YAO can punish weaker and smaller opponents in the paint.

I like this potential. A few maybes fall into place and we could be a contender again.

It's been waaaaay too long since I could seriously say that.

    :D

Wells, who had been so brilliant in the first-round playoff series last season against the Spurs, was not that dominant, but was consistently effective. Wells made 6 of 11 shots for a season-high 15 points, adding seen rebounds and offering more hints of what could be possible.

"I don’t know about the streak, but we needed this win for our confidence," Wells said. "Not having Mac has been tough for us. I've gotten some wins here. I felt confident we would win. I told the guys before the game we would win.

"We have to do this every night. We have to try to be more consistent. We needed a big win. We put a big game together. It's been tough on this road trip. The last game of this road trip, like coach says, a lot of teams tank it. We didn't want that to happen to us."

It's all about confidence. Thanks, BW

We can find a Chinese shoe company to give him a shoe deal with the condition of playing with Yao. Then he has to sign with us. ;)
