If God where to put a QB on Earth to change the world, I believe it would happen in a manner similar to this. Go YATES!!!!!!
Kubiak on 610 pretty much confirmed he is not going to dial it back for TJ that is great news, like Kubiak said- to win and achieve in this league you have to stay aggressive. TJ will make some mistakes that Schaub wouldn't make, but he is going to make some plays Schaub wouldn't make also. It is all about the team from here out, can this team make enough plays to win? I expect to win the division.
The dews drop slowly and dreams gather; unknown spears Suddenly hurtle before my dream-awakened eyes, And then the clash of fallen horsemen and the cries Of unknown perishing armies beat about my ears. We who still labour by the cromlech on the shore, The grey cairn on the hill, when day sinks drowned in dew, Being weary of the world's empires, bow down to you, Master of the still stars and of the flaming door.
Grave men, near death, who see with blinding sight Blind eyes could blaze like meteors and be gay, Rage, rage against the dying of the light.
Throws interception to lose playoff game, hated in Houston from then on. Never given a chance. Calling it
I was depressed a bit, but after reading the last page and a half and thinking on it, I'm pump up beeches! ... .Yea! ! ! The national media is starting to take more notice with this team being #1 in the AFC (seed-wise) - I said anything more than 2 wins is gravy, but I'm also saying this...IF TJ can lead the Texans past the Falcons, the possibility of winning out the reg. is real! -the whole NFL world/media/ people in general will be in a state of incredulous stupor including some posters on here . . . It will be insane if TJ can do his part and this team wins...Oooo yea
Vegas only has us as a 2.5 point underdog on Sunday. I would think that's assuming Yates is the QB. Not too bad
To be honest, given how bad Leinart looked in the first half, I'm almost glad Yates is in. He's the higher upside/higher risk guy. Leinart already seemed to have developed the David Carr syndrome of checking down before the rush gets there. At least Yates stood in the pocket on a couple of plays. This despite not having the 2 week practice that Leinart had to prepare. Special teams impact is inversely proportional to offense. The better your offense, the less useful 60 yard punts and 50 yard FGs. So while paying 7mil for them is only good if you build your team around a smashmouth style of play.
I have dreams (we all do), I get intuitions, premonitions. Always have. Many of them I never understand, but some come true in detail. I got this feeling about Yates in the preseason, that he was special, that he might prove to be the best of the bunch. There is something about him, a kind of confidence, not cockiness, but almost. I still have that feeling and now there is reason to pay attention, because I will soon see how accurate my intuition is. Mark this down and hold me accountable. My feeling is that all he lacks is experience, that he has the skills, both tangible and intangible, we shall soon see.
For some reason, I have more confidence in Yates than I did Leinart. Yates seems to be quicker and has a stronger arm. I pray that he would be a poor man's Andy Dalton.
you know it's been a rough few weeks when you're holding to intuitive dreams and madden ratings for your playoff hopes.
let's hope you are right. from the little I saw, i liked how he looked upfield, and I liked his touch on the ball, but i was scared at how he locked his eyes onto one receiver. that will be exploited by any good corner.
