    Face it. Yao's might be the best player in history over 7"2, but that's not saying much. It's hard for anybody that tall to have the kind of athleticism you need to dominate in the NBA. If his career continues down its current trajectory of declining efficiency and increasing injury proneness, then we might be looking at the second coming of Rik Smits.

    Not to knock Rik Smits or anything.

    you really want him to injure himself wearing those things? havent you seen him fall down just running down the court??? just live with it. he cant dunk.
    he just has to perfect his jump shot, hook shots, fade aways, and DEFENSE.
    work with what little athletic ability he has.

    On a Serious note, i just hope both Yao and Tmac are not playing through some sort of injury. Hopefully they will be in gameshape by game 10. :cool:

    Jumping increases chance of stress fracture in the knee joints and the feet. So just rooted to the ground is not a bad thing

    if we make him jump any higher he's gonna have another stress fracture in his foot :(
