Do you understand the concept of "effective fg%?"

I don't think that you do.

It is a measure of regular fg% and 3 point fg% weighted to account for the higher value of 3 point percentage, even the Rox middle of the pack (though hardly poor) 3 point % D is included in that measure, and they are still 3rd (almost 2nd) in the league in defending perimeter shots.

    Whoops.

Just admit it and move on.

Wait, people are blaming Yao for that last shot by Ginoboli?

Yao rotated. He even altered the shot. Did you see how high Ginoboli put it up off the glass?

It was a damn fine shot by Ginoboli. It was a great effort by 2 hard-nosed teams. Don't take away from that shot. We played it pretty well and he drained it.

It hurts that we lost that game. But you know what? Believe it or not, sometimes when teams score on us, it's 'cause they did a good job, not 'cause we did a bad job.

Yao is slow, as is pretty much every other 7' 4"+ player(Smits, Bradley, etc.).
Besides, Manu through it high off the glass.
The only players that had a chance of blocking that are players like Hakeem or Garnett.
