facts for people who are ignorant on what they were talking about:

    1. Chinese is not commie anymore, except for the "communist ruling license" for the government, due to historical and political legacy. now China is more Capitalistic than most Western nations, inculding US. though it is like some 1800-British kind of Capitalism. that's why it looks ugly sometimes. the Chinese know Communism 10 times better than you guys, hate it 100 times more than you guys. So save your commie crap for Human Enlightenment's sake.

    2. Wang zhizhi, the guy played in Mavs, is a military service man. the Chinese basketball business is not like NBA. in their league CBA, there is a team(and this team won most championships) funded by PLA, all players military men. wang zhizhi is from this team. this team is declining drastically now, because it can't sign former NBA players like other CBA teams do. Wang had contracts with this team and Chinese national team, saying he must go back for training and service when called (of course in NBA intervals), and the contract went through the Mavs. that's why when he personally refused to do so, his former military team and national team cut him off the list. So much for "forcing". and after he proved to be an NBA failure and went back China, the teams showed him complete forgiveness. Now he is doing fine with them. Some dummie-commie-hater would imagine him court-martialed, I guess...

    3. Yao has contract with his former Org. in China, demanding about 10-20% of his NBA income for compensation, the actural amount yearly declining. this happens because this is a business between 2 different basketball systems. in NBA, teams just trade players. between chinese sports org and Rockets, this is kind of a lease, and the rental comes from Yao's salary. when the Chinese national team needs yao in NBA intervals, they call on him, its his decision answer it or not. that's the way it goes. So play for China in this summer or not, it's completely on Yao. As to the Tax, it goes to IRS, period.

    姚明为中国效力是对国家的忠诚,忠于国家是每位中国人爱国的一把标尺。
Yao play games for China is expressing loyalty to his motherland, as every Chinese, loyalty is staff gauge whether love his country or not.

China still a communist country, no matter what economic system they adopt. You only need to look at their textbook.

well, i don't think this will happen until 2012' summer, no doubt, we r NO.1 in Asia now even without Yao and the 2nd is farbehind us. So i bet Yao will surely have a nice summer rest and well preparation for the next season. But what's more important, what will Ron and Ale think about then?

    Stop trolling...

Back onto the topic - Yao never made any plans to retire from Chinese Basketball. This may have been a rumor but I'm quite positive he's willing to play for Team China when needed still.

FYI, his international duties will definitely shorten his career by a decade and make him retire even before he gets a baby.
