my buddy said that in one game, randy had just dominated the whole time and it was coming down to a last shot. he stood just past half court holding the ball waiting for some time to run off, kinda just relaxed talking to the official. everyone was waiting for him to put on some moves and blow by defenders to make the last basket. but as the clock ticked down, he gave no more shakes to create his shot, instead, he cooly drained the shot from just inside the half court line. croud goes wild...his team wins.
dang, thats a cool story.. only if he lived up to his hype/potential after the surgeries, would have worked out well for us.
after the 4th games US coach said he had nothing to complaint this time, china deserve the win and yao is dominant and he is looking for opportunity to coach in china, blahblah..

If I remember correctly a foul was called against Eddy (I stand corrected). Anyway Detriot went ahead and blew us out that game completing the unlikely season sweep. Interestingly Phoenix went to Detriot a few weeks later and blew out Detriot at home (in Detriot).
Yao and Bateer helped China to the 5th staight victory. Yao played a very very poor game but was clutch in the last minute (sorry no stats in the Chinese media). PS: I will go watch the next game live.
I watched most of the game online. He had 13 points and a few huge blocks. But maybe I missed something. He played about 25 minutes.
Hehe... you counted yourself? The TV didn't show stats. I watched the 2nd half online but when Yao only entered the game in the last 2 mins, the online broadcast suddenly didn't work then.
