It would be nice for T-Mac or Yao to have 50+ or even extraordinary game like Kobe. Have Yao put up 63 pt and 18 reb, or T-Mac put up a 70 pt or possibly 80 point game, going past Kobe Bryant. With all of that being said, does it make sense to accomplish something like that when we don't know if we can make it out of the first round. Is our bench stronger than it was last year and can they pick up some of the scoring load? Are we an elite team in the NBA? If we have the possiblity of a home court throughout the playoffs...shouldn't make a run for it? I don't see how that would hurt us?
