It's the result of not having any other choices. His mind has blocked any kind of physical retaliation to the contact or any arguing and screaming at the referees. He don't know what to do.

This is one are that I wished Van Gundy would get extremely vocal about, the way the game is called on Yao. He needs to get some technicals and some fines for making public comments about the bad calls on Yao.

yao seems to fall to the floor too easily. i wonder if his deaf ear has an effect on his sense of balance more so than him being weak.

he falls to the floor most of the time cause he leans back to put his body against the defender...feeling where they are in regards to him...and then they either backoff or hook him which throws him off balance...

I think that he should face up more often...he did it a couple of times late in the game tonight...and was able to sink the shots...

he also needs to quit tryin that hook from the side...it hasnt been falling..face up Yao...you can shooot over just about everyone in the league...and he has the skills to sink it.

IT doesnt have to be from up high...he can get low position and turn around and shoot it..

Are you saying this is personal, cultural, or racial reaction. Or has he been COACHED to not retaliate ? IMO he has choices. The best one is to take it out on the other team, DO NOT take it out on the ref. But at least he could get mad, show some emotion other than crying.

only thing I can say is: this is the system he is in now, and he just try his best and play his best, as professional. improve himself everyday, every game. he still learning.
