Seemed to have the right attitude... Sounded like he said the Olympics were less important than the rest of his career... Still seemed in shock himself... I feel for the big guy.
It's amazing how candid he is about his feelings. When they ask him tough questions, he gives an honest answer, even though it's not necessarily what the fans want to hear.
I wont watch the rest of the season... my hope is gone... i was here just to watch some news with the happiness brought by the 12 winning streak, but...
Yeah that got me too. I don't believe in crying for this stuff but it makes me sick in my stomach. Enough of this board for a while. I need a break.
Most honest, sincere, great athlete you'll ever see. It's not all about Ws and Ls. It's about character and Yao has a shtload of it. After all, nobody wants a championship with a guy like Artest or Allen Iverson. I am damn proud he's a Rocket even if he doesn't produce the results we want.
I am so fond and proud of this team... the feeling is just like i am dumped by my girlfriend... i wanna cry .
yao looked like he was still in shock the entire conference said the worst feeling was coming into the building today knowing he and coach would have to drop the bomb on the team
i feel so bad for yao. watching him speak like that about his feelings makes me forget about the pettiness of my fan feelings. It must r e a l l y suck for him.
Who wouldn't be? One day, you have nothing but some soreness, which you played through for a couple of weeks... next thing you know, your season is over.
yao said everybody was so quiet when coach told them about him being out rest of season. so sad. why always rox!!!
is there any precedent for this injury? four months seems reasonable. yao doesn't seem too confident that it will work out. could he come back for the playoffs if he drinks an unreasonable amount of milk? basically what is the upshot of a second opinion?
