Yao came to the CCTV and admitted that he's not that kind of player who's very suit for this type of game...but we all know ,he's a deligent and responsible player in the real games.. :p

it doesn't matter wheather he played well or not in ALLSTAR,he's not that kind of player.
but in a real game, he'll show his dominantion, against Dirk or TD or Dwight...........

What happened to all the people who wanted Yao to be well-rested during the break? You can't have it both ways.

He made his appearance, good enough for me. Let the big man get some rest... better for him that way.

Let's face it people. We all vote for Yao cause he's something difference from what we're all used to. Hes a 7 Foot+ Chinese Basketballer that's won our respect with his excellent plays. We just love to see him on the Bball court and that's the reason we vote him for an All Star Game.

Personally I love watching him play cause he has a difference style compared to the rest.

Anyone catch the play where Yao spun baseline on Howard, and then threw a little dream-esque fake that took Dwight out of his shoes? Yao would have crammed it if Dwight didn't foul Yao to save himself the embarrassment  . HEY DWIGHT, YOU DIDN'T EVEN DUNK THAT SUPERMAN DUNK!!!!

Personally, I don't think Yao cares about being at the All-Star game or even playing in it. I think he just needed the rest from the 1st half and now he should be refreshed for the 2nd half of the season.

You know Yao wasn't taking it all that seriously anyway, he was shooting 3 pointers! Who cares if he gets playing time at the ASG...it's all for entertainment anyway.

Agreed...but this does make a point that Yao's off ball movement is subpar and needs work. I like how he tried to bust some 3's in the game....Anyone else think Dwight Howard did a d-bag move by holding Yao down after getting his pants schooled off?

I understand where you're coming from.. but honestly, I was glad he didn't play a lot of minutes... I'm pretty sure it was the decision of the coaches not to play him that much

The thought of him being slighted by our competitions coach pissed me off. But if Yao requested not to play that's good enough for me. I am glad he got the rest. He has the right focus and it's all good.

As a basketball fan that voted for Yao in the All star game, I am a little dissappointed that Yao did not play some good minutes; As a Rockets fan, I'm happy that he just showed up and have a little fun, and he's putting his team's success ahead of winning over fans in the all star game.

It's strange because Byron said that he was going to put Yao and Duncan in if he could get the game a little closer. Well Duncan got back in, at least...

Yao was actually doing pretty well in the half court when they got him the ball (except when he took those threes... he really should have stopped after one attempt; the second was completely unnecessary). He was definitely struggling to keep up with the pace, but the game slowed down a lot once they got into the last three minutes or so, and they could have used him.

Well u were doing good until the last statement. Duncan has been voted in pretty much every yr since 99 or so. Go check, but i'm pretty sure that he's always a lock.

I quit watching the ASG years ago. I don't see how anyone would find watching a basketball game without any competitive spirit "entertaining."

Back in the 80s, guys like Bird and Magic did go out to compete in the ASG, if not for anything, just for the bragging right of being superior to the other team.
