The difference is that Steve used to win games for us.......

I can only imagine what the outcry would've been had Steve been the one who had 10 turnovers in a loss to the Bobcats...

You mean if Yao could keep the damn ball in his hands.

I'm still waiting for the day for him to learn not to bring the ball down.

Also a lot of turnovers i have seen from him this season is when a player tries to give him a bounce pass and he has to go down and get it. He is not able to do that one bit and the guards need to realize this and stop trying to give him bounce passes.

Also on that note if his team mates were playing a bit better, the defenses wouldn't collapse on him and leave the rest of the team open to double and triple team yao and cause all those turnovers.

    Let's analys these TOs

I didn't watch the game but I m in the chat room and see all the PBP. As I remember his 10 TOs: 1 offense goatander, 2 three seconds and ....

I just want to say: We all want to him agrassive, but when the ref call him not that right, what he can do. Yesterday is our home game, before, these 3 second is ok but yesterday they called.

So that's all affect his confidence. He is yao, not shaq. and he is 7'6 we can not expect him like a PF.

Bad loss and I have a bad night.

Yao do need improve his handle ball skills, I still don't know how to make him to fix these. sad

Our FG is really bad. Why they just can not shoot and hit.

What only thing I can say is: our rosters have too much pressure they even don't know how to play and not enjoy the play. Thinking too much. just no good. JVG need decide a start line and keep it even it not perfect but still keep it. So the players know what their role and don't worry about it.

Totally agree. But one thing is missing: No Gundy.

This post replies to your role player points too.

First of all, Steve does not draw the double teams Tmac does. Tmac gets doubled almost every possession. That leaves someone else open. Role players hasn't been able to knock them down, they need to.

Next, Tmac is a much better passer. He finds people. Bad thing is, other than Yao, no one is taking advantage of this yet. Again, role players need to knock down open shots.

With respect to Yao...It's hard to compare a guard with a center. Yao does get blamed by many people though. One thing we know for sure is that if role players hits their shots, Yao would not be fighting with 2, 3 people on every possession.

If Steve was double/triple teamed all game because no one could hit a shot. And he got called for 2 charges and an offensive goal tending, plus 2 other turnovers as a result of the double/triple team, and still put up 20 pts 14 rebounds. Ok that's not fair for a guard, lets say he puts up 20 pts/10 assissts/10 TOs. I would bet the reaction by this board is the same as it is with Yao.

    Yao's stamina has pleasantly improved.

Now his handle (holding on to the ball properly) and his center of gravity thingy is next. He is coming around. His developement has been slower than other young stars like Amare, Lebron and Melo but he is steadily coming along fine. He will eventually catch up somewhat. He will get there.

He was playing aggressive. I hope he continues it and fights thru this crap, and doesn't get discouraged.
