Most of Nashs assists come from him setting up shooters that just spot up. With T-mac shooting the way he has this year, and Yaos lack of handling pretty good passes, I dont see that happening...

Early offense gets wide open looks most of our guys are contested each time down the floor.

I am sure that Nash would improve everyone's shooting percentage a ton.

What the heck are you guys talking about. Of course Nash would be a good addition. But there's no way we could actually put him on the same team as Yao and T-Mac (at least not before he becomes old and busted), so what's the point of arguing how good he would be on our squad.

I have to laugh at this statement.

They were talking about this on ESPN. I think it is the most amount of turnovers from a player without an assist.

According to Espn, Yao is still 3rd on the list of having 10+ TOs in a game w/o an assist, only to another former Rocket, Sampson(?) and another guy, both at 11.

Totally agreed with you. Our big 2 is doing all right, the rest of the teams need to change and get some quality play or every team out there is going to do the same thing try to stop the big 2.

I think it’s complete BS that the role players are getting all the blame for the Rockets failures. Their freaking role players. You don’t think the Lakers had several nights where Derek Fisher and Robert Horry would brick every shot they took. The only job role players have is not to lose the game for the team and I don’t see any role players having 10 TO games or 9-30 shooting games.

As the leaders of this team Yao and Mcgrady need to be held accountable, just like Steve was held accountable in seasons past. When things were not going well, Steve was the one that always had the finger pointed at him, and deservedly so.

You can always say your Stars could have done more but when your stars give you 25 pts 9 rebs and 6 assists / 20 pts and 14 rebs its kind of hard to put too much blame on them.

The main problem outside of Van Grumpy is that Sura and Jackson were the only role players that contributed anything. Our freaking bench scored a total of 8 pts. Thats not going to win many games

Robert Horry and/or Derek Fisher are considerably better than anything we have in the way of role players, though. We have no one on that scale supporting Yao and Tracy.

Look..if it takes both scoring 30-40 points every game to win, then you have a problem with the rest of the team. Because these guys aren't going to score 30-40 per game.

Well Steve used to provide good stats as well. What's the difference?

Like Nash too, but doesn't he plummet near the end of the season?

There are two paths that Yao can take after this infamous triple double.

    1) he becomes less confident with the ball/offensively worrying about turning over the ball and the cost of each possession.

    2) Gets angry at the flopping, bad calls, those mistakes that are entirely his and goes out to prove himself all over/starts playing like a monster.

    I hope it's the latter.

Have you been watching the last two games? The guy caught some impossible pass with ONE hand!! The problem is that his hands are just too soft, once he caught the ball, he couldn't hold on.
