The PSAs, taped in English, Mandarin and Cantonese, are scheduled to begin airing immediately on playoff broadcasts in the United States and in China. Several NBA teams, including the Houston Rockets and its owner Leslie Alexander, are contributing financial resources to support the relief efforts. NBA players including Steve Nash, Baron Davis, Jason Kidd, Greg Oden, Raymond Felton, Leandro Barbosa, Andris Biedrins, Marko Jaric and Marcus Williams, among others, have already stepped forward to contribute as well. In addition to the PSA campaign, and the efforts of the teams and players, the NBA is contributing financial resources and featuring information and links for fans to get involved in the relief efforts on NBA.com. NBA Cares is also supporting community partners UNICEF and the World Food Programme who are working around the clock to assist the relief efforts in Myanmar following the destruction left behind by Cyclone Nargis, which hit the Southeast Asian country on May 2. about 22,069 peolpe have died in the earthquake till now, and more than 14,000 people were burie in sichuan province, which is suffered most seriously
have you ever seen the disaster like this? about 50 people were buried below these ruins his life was saved finally, expect for a broken leg
95+ % > 6.0 magnitude earthquakes happen in a drought area in China after the drought between 1-3.5 years. Is 95+ % a good enough number for you to show a correlation between drought and earthquake in China? You dont even look at the numbers first and come out and bark. I just wonder where you earned your Master degree. That's kind of attitude we need from students now. Dont come out here and BS if you

actually, that's not good enough. consider much of China is subject to drought, I don't think a drought would help you predict earthquake very much. It's type one, type two error thing. Say 90 percent of tennis player wear a tennis cap, that doesn't mean every time you run into someone wearing a tennis cap is a tennis player. People are now understandably emotional, but science is science.

Personally I feel grateful for all kindness help/replies in the thread. My daddy has donated 3k to Red Cross on 5/13, and I also donated blood at a mobile blood collection center in wednesday, hope this will help a little to victims...
