Yao is pretty much just telling everyone that he's going to try to remain the alpha male if Mcgrady doesn't step up. Nothing wrong with it.

And dont worry about how smart someone is if you keep on throwing up things like EQ.

I'm sure Yao didn't mean to cause so much trouble, but the point is he should have known better. That was some stupid ish. Hopefully it's a lesson well learned...

One thing's for sure, though. If McGrady had said something even remotely similar, this board would have torn him several new assholes by now.

This is the latest from the Chronicle:

"Yao had generally praised Artest and the trade, but had said he was concerned about “chemistry” and made a joking reference to the incident when Artest went into the stands after a fan, inspiring Artest to say he would be happy to come to Houston only if Yao and the Rockets demonstrated their commitment to the move."

    Yao was joking... JOKING.

But FRAN F***BURY still tried to create some friction one day after the trade. F*** F***BURY.

I love Yao and his gentile giant nature so I'm not that surprised here's a little worried; but bringging up THE BRAWL was a mistake.

Here's to China getting bounced quickly so Yao can rest for 2 months.

yao hasn't played enough games nor has he dominated any playoff games for him to be alpha male.

Yao was joking. This whole media circus was Fran Blinebury's fault.

Even he was joking, that's a very bad joke and easily upset your new teammate.

You could tell that by what Yao said, the whole media was going to take it outta context. I just saw SC talking about his remarks and all they showed was him saying the he hopes Ron isn't fighting anymore, which is true I hope so too. He had more than 5 more quotes and he was saying how good Ron was from how he played against us in one of them. If Ron gets into any type of fight you know he will more than likely get kicked outta the league this time for good. Thats when we lose in this trade. But we won't.

throwing your prospective team mate under the bus does NOT make you an alpha male.

really? did you think maybe the same guy tried to make those "concerns" a bigger deal than they were as well? are you that gullible?

The man asked Yao if he thought chemistry would be a factor in this addition. Do you think anyone would say no to that? Whether it's Ron Artest, Dennis Rodman, Charles Manson, Mickey Mouse, Santa Claus or Jesus Christ being added to our team, if there is a new player being asked to take on a big role for a team that was already doing well with great chemistry, there will always be questions and concerns about chemistry.

Oh my goodness, you indeed need to take a deep breath to calm down, and then go to take a reading comprehension class. When did Yao say the whole interview was a joke and where did he deny that he was concerned? He has only said that the statement about Artest went into the stand was a joke. Is it really that difficult to comprehend?

    Let me help you more.

He admitted he was concerned but he said the "Artest went into the stands" was only a joke. Can you see it now?

Making things up out of your imagination and get all upset about it is the receipt for eventual mental disorder.

re-read what i said. i didnt say the whole interview was a joke...i implied that at least part of his conversation with scola wasnt. EVERYONE is concerned, even tracy.

Outing it in public is wrong. Is that hard for you to comprehend?

lol... where did the name calling come from. let me repeat... EVERYONE is concerned, and rightfully so. Outing this in the media the way yao did was wrong. So he cracked a joke...ok fine. Whats with telling us how he and scola are worried behind the scenes. You do see how this can be a chemistry problem, dont you?
