Look man, you need to get off your high emotional horse and attempt to use your head for a minute. If you read through you posts again, you will realize that you are not speaking with you head rather your emotions - and that is infantile.

If this game and this team doesn't get you emotional then how do you call yourself a fan?

Then what do you think the creteria for ROY should be?

They have almost identical stats and theie respective teams have very similiar records.

Too bad Chinese fans don't get to vote for ROY. :D

What the hell kind of logic are you using? "yeah, he got killed by the 2 best bigmen in the past 5 years, both of whom have championships and mvp trophies." Yes, he had 2 bad games, but since when did we expect a guy to come from china and dominate the 2 best big men in the league, who are on 2 of the best teams in the league defensively. Now, if Yao were getting dominated by the likes of greg ostertag, THEN you might have an arguement.

I remember Yao contesting dunks, but the result was he got dunked on. I don't think Yao is scared, overmatched yes, but not scared. I think Yao is playing hard, but like any player he has his highs and lows.

Yao will get it. The worst thing that can come from Yao playing a few more bad games will be he will have to share the title w/ Amare. But he has already earned at least that much already.

There is no way that Yao has lost more games than won this year. If that is true, it's safe to say the Rockets are better without Yao and I think that's pretty absurd. The guy had 2 horrible games in a row, but these games have been few compared to the games where he's played well. Low FG% and missed FTs? He shoots one of the highest FG% in the league and among Centers he's one of the best Free Throw shooters.

It is sad to be a player of a team whose fans support only the player's stats but not the player.

NO, NO, NO... I think the diffference between you to is that you are an idiot. You make statements like its a forgone conclusion. If what you are saying is true then E. Brand and Franchise would not have even been considered for the ROY. Sure a good record helps, but it is far from being the the most important factor. BTW who the hell, rookie or not can stop Shaq or Duncan for that matter. Yao is a ROOKIE, and people with brains know this. He will have ups and downs, but for the most part he is more that anyone here would have thought he would be at this stage. He is at the top in most all statistical areas, what other rookie can make that claim (none). Amare is good and will be great but he also just came off a stretch where he struggled. So, before you start making bonehead statements LET THEM PLAY THE GAMES. And even if Yao does not win the ROY we should all be proud of what he has brought to the team. I think that he has had more to contend with this year than all of the other rooks put together, and he has handled himself very well.

This again another bogus statement. In case you haven't noticed a lot of other teams have changed also (gotten better) so we are not playing games against the same teams we did back then. In that season we also dominated the east, which now has T-Mac and Kidd.

If Yao is not the ROY now, who is? Amare has not been a factor in Suns game for over a month now. He got schooled by big Ben today. I think some of you with these insanely negative posts are Suns fan, and you can get out of here and go f*** yourself.

whether he does get it or not, we'll always know that:

    1. his competition is crap.
    2. Yao can't jump, nor move
    3. no strength
    4. no agressiveness

    on the plus side:

    - he's a nice guy
    - he's great for commercials, should take up acting

Rox - out of playoffs for the rest of the decade

    WOW!

So we played the lakers with in a few points, and Yao did not have a good game. And then we get blown out by the Spurs. UMM HELLO! Yao did not look good... maybe he is taking the Rudy thing pretty hard?...maybe he got outplayed by better players?... maybe the rest of the rockets where soft playing defense as well?

    The things we know.

Yao is good for the rockets on and off the court.
The rockets are still in the hunt for playoff spot #8.
Stevie on his game is steller
Rudy T is gone for a while
JP on his game is a great SF

    The things we don't know

Will Yao win the rookie of the year award
Will the Rockets make the Playoffs
How will Yao and the Rockets take all of this.
    JP is not consistant
    Stevie has lapses.

So if you want to be on the bandwagon get ready for some bumpiness. If not, no worries I am sure if we make the playoffs many people will be in line for your spot and if not there will be next year.

I got the feeling that a lot of "fans" on this board care more about whether Yao gets the ROY than whether the Rockets make the playoffs.

i love my yao and i sport his jersey and want him to get ROY, but i dont think amare is competition anymore, butler tore it up for 35 pts and 7 dimes and hes been playing pretty consistently as of late. he might just stick in and get the gasolish ROY (good but not great player on a crap team) but i hope not. cmon yao, i wanna see some redemption on the nuggets!

For the ROY, why are your guys always stuck with Yao or Amare?
If Yao does not do well in the next 10 games, it is most likely that C. Butler will win the ROY. Look at his number for the March, that's very good numbers even he is the number 1 option on that team, but still his numbers beat Amare's numbers.

Amare and Yao have both had stretches where they played like crap, and Yao is mired in a massive two-game stretch...it's not like his production is over for the season.

Butler isn't going to get it because the Heat are having another horrible season.

All of you sudden Yao-haters seem to believe that now the Rockets have lost to the best teams in the league, they have no shot at the playoffs. Hello, we're a half game back! We have as much chance as the Suns, so don't act like now that we've fallen behind, we have no chance.

Hey, who remembers the ROY award in '99-'00? It's not inconceivable that Yao and Amare get co-honors. Everyone knows that Yao is a better player overall, but if the Suns do make it to the playoffs, I think that is what will happen
