Yao doesn't increase franchise revenue he increases revenue for les alexander. Association with Yao opens doors for Les in China to make personal deals, and the large footprint that Yao affords is a factor when Instabrand or whoever calculates the Rocket's value as a brand for when Les resells the team for a profit.
why does it matter whether yao plays more minutes than brad miller? just because brad had a great game doesn't mean yao is coming off the bench when he returns relax buddy.

This isn't about idol....because you can check my posts, I don't care if he leaves. This is simply about who is going to play more Minutes Brad or Yao.

Yao suffers a season injury (which means your fake Rocket Fan) 2. Yao really only plays 24 mins a game with no B2B after All Star Break. 63 games left, assuming Yao only plays 24 minutes for all 63 games 1512 minutes. Which means Yao would end up with 1603 minutes. Brad would have to play 1273 @ 20 minutes a game. Split among Hill, Hayes, Yao.............
Why would you say i was praying for Yao to get hurt? I love the guy. I would never wish harm upon him. I just don't think he can last a whole season without getting hurt, thats all. Also, do you lose the bet if he gets traded?(i'm not betting by the way. Just responding.)
Technically you didn't accept the bet. BetterThanEver says he will take the bet. But obviously i rather Clutchfans get the donation for his website work. But essentially if people are saying Brad gets more minutes than Yao...its because of those 2 things. A healthy Yao is going to play more than 24 minutes and he will play some B2B for the season and we don't even have to worry about a full season, because he already missed 14 games. Brad would have to fight Chuck and Hill for minutes, assuming Yao comes back healthy. So I have a tough time believing Brad is going to get more minutes than Yao for the rest of the season. If any player gets traded, it doesn't matter, its based on Total Minutes @ the end of the season (includes playoffs). This isn't about hating Brad, do i think he is worth 5 million...no. Do i think Yao is worth 17 million...no....do i think Brad will get more minutes than Yao...no.
is that so important to you that you had to mention it over and over in the same post? what if the team keeps winning with yao coming off the bench for 12minutes/game, 6 in both the 1st and 3rd quarters when he returns, should they still give your idol more minutes than brad like you want them to? you're only looking out for yaos best interest (actually your not, giving him more minutes will only increase the chance of him hurting again), not the rockets. nothings wrong with you being a huge yao fan and all, but then you're probably in the wrong website. and no, at this point yao does not worth 17 million. in fact, not even 5 million that brad is getting. majority of the posters would rather give that money to someone more serviceable. don't tell me you don't care, coz you do. sorry i had to slap you in the face like that, but truth hurts
Yao wont opt for the max, hes a nice guy and hes never shown a predisposition to be a prima donna and will never exhibit that predisposition. He understands that if were to be given a bloated contract, it would negate the teams chances of retaining players (ie, brooks) and/or signing new free agents.
So is the standards that low for a 17 million player that it would be something of an achivment if he plays more minutes then a 38 year old backup C?. BTW, Miller has been fantastic in the last two wins. Far more productive then the big guy who cant even stay healthy within 24 minutes a night.
