Perhaps Yao’s fans should be reminded of what happened to Hakeem. The summer of 2001 Hakeem decided to leave Houston for Toronto because he felt the team was holding him down, the guards were too selfish, and the coach didn’t know how to use him. Didn’t take long to see how wrong he was. He had the worse season of his career. Was pretty much a bench warmer in Toronto. Not saying the same would happen to Yao, but don’t count on him turning into Shaq once he starts playing in Golden State.
I agree with you. I, too, have been visiting clutch's site since the day it became operational, but never really got into the BBS until earlier this year. I am constantly annoyed by the posters with over a thousand posts that seem to think they're an authority simply because of their post number. It seems to me that more often than not, these kinds of posters have some of the worst takes I've ever seen, even for an internet chat room. I continue to say the only thing more annoying than a stupid post are these jack----- who whine and moan about the stupid post in an arrogant stance.
Hakeem left because he was washed up and demanded WAAAAAYYYY too much money. He was traded for a second-round draft pick.
Exactly. He was washed up and overestimated his ability and decided to leave for a team thinking they would use him better than the Rockets. I’m saying it wouldn’t shock me if the same situation ends up happening with Yao regretting leaving and the team shelling out big dough regretting giving him big dollars. Then maybe, just maybe, Yao’s psycho fans will see that it’s not everybody else’s fault that Yao’s struggling.
