don't really have a problem with eddie who is just talking out of confidence right now and the fact he knows he can't humiliated by yao again this season.

the real idiot is richardson who has never been the sharpest tool in the shed. he probably egged eddie on a little.

agreed... Currie just wants to prove he could play much better this time and he boasts a bit on top of that...

Eddy Curry obviously doesn't keep up with the news around the NBA.

He scored 36...big whoop. Yao JUST scored 38 including a 23 pt. quarter and the game clencher.

He OBVIOUSLY hasn't watched any replays of his games vs. Yao either. LMAO probably too embarassed. He couldn't count the number of times he got owned by Yao.

But in all truth, he's right, Eddy Curry just can't be stopped...

Lol...that's all i got to say...last time i checked, i might be going crazy

    Game 1 vs. NY

    Yao - 35 Points 17 Rebounds 7 Blocks
Curry Powder 7 Points 5 Rebounds 0 Blocks

    Game 2 vs NY

    Yao - 29 Points 9 Rebounds 2 Blocks
    Curry Powder - 8 Points 2 Rebounds 0 Blocks

He has had 4 single digit games this season. 2 of them agains the Rockets. I would have to use my great deductive reasoning to say Yao has managed to stop him nicely....what a bunch of crap from this loser.

Beat me to it. As soon as I saw the title of this thread I almost fell out of my chair. It's like Craig Ehlo talking smack on MJ after he just got finished eliminating them from the playoffs except for the fact that Ehlo was probably better than Curry too.

Pissing of Yao seems like it will work out for us well in the short run.

I suspect Curry to have a bit of problem with his grammar. I don`t think you can read across the lines as you would normally do.

    My guess is that:

Curry: "I want to have chance with Yao again."

" I know it is tough to score against Yao."

" But the way I am playing teams will have trouble marking me "

Now Curry isnt exactly saying Yao is going to dominate him next time they meet. But this isnt exactly same as claiming Yao will have hard time "stopping him." Right way to see the quote is realize that Curry is simultaneously aknolwedging the greatness of Yao but at the same time confident enough to better than he did previously, meaning he will put in more of a fight.

If I was Isiah I would be more concerned had Curry thought Yao is his daddy regardless of this is being a truth or not (which is true btw).

Ehh what's this big bruhaha about? We don't play them again until next year. When that time rolls around again, Yao will own Curry as he always has throughout their careers. Let Curry think whatever he wants, it isn't going change reality.

Before lambasting Curry, consider the source(s) of the quotes attributed to him: NY tabloids and possibly the ever-so-reputable-we-don't-verify-our-sources-and-allow-our-editors-to-make-up-stories-for-Pulitzer-consideration NY Times.

If what is quoted and attributed to him is 100% accurate and not taken out of context, I don't see why Yao (or any other center) would take offense. Curry thinks he's playing well now (after being so inconsistent for so many years) and he thinks it would take more than 1 defender to stop him. Good for him for feeling upbeat about his game. You should also realize Curry is not a trash talker. I've watched him for years while he was with the Bulls and he's pretty quiet and doens't mouth off.

Look at the long term implications -- right now, the Eastern Conference playoffs would be a joke compared with the bloodbath that would occur in the Western Conference. I'm all for another quality team to emerge in the East so Detroit / Cleveland / Chicago / Miami or Orlando won't have a cakewalk in round 1 of the playoffs.

I beleive Q Rich was the guy who said(when he was still with the Suns) that if the Suns drafted Yao, they'd be using him for dunk practice, or something like that. It's hard to eat your own words, you know?
