"I definitely wish I could play against Yao again," Curry said. "I had my opportunity. But it's going to be tough. The way I'm playing now I definitely think it's going to take a team effort to stop me."

I don't think im reading too much into that... but you have your opinion... I have mine...

    "mission accomplished" ;)

    Are you stupid or something?

Yao is not a team, which means, put simply, it is implied that Curry said Yao can't stop him. You don't even need to read between the lines.

Yes the title is not a direct quote, but that is inconsequential, because IT ISN'T MISLEADING.

The only issue at hand is:
    a) You are stupid OR
    b) You don't speak English.

For God's sake.. these are the Knicks we're talking about. Nothing they say should be taken seriously. They're a circus.

If Curry feels like it'll take the whole team to stop him.. then obviously he doesn't know what a team is. He's acting like that kid who got beat up in school, then moved away and is now talking smack as if he can take on the kid who beat him up earlier again.

Anyways, this should be moved to the "why it's good to be in the east" thread over there in the NBA forum. At least this is one of the benefits of not being in the West, you don't have to match up against guys like Yao and Duncan as much.

Y'all need to be nicer to ol Eddy.. it's been a long time between successes for him. Last time he made headlines, he was starring in 'Quest For Fire', wasn't he?

    ;)

I believe the Rockets have learned this already but each player must learn let your game do the talking. When your game can't do the talking night in, night out, your mouth over compensates.

"The way I'm playing now I definitely think it's going to take a team effort to stop me"

From this quote, I can only see he is trying to say no single defender can handle him.(include Yao)

It's amazing that team really can turn someone dumb into dumber.

Yao is the most double teamed player in the league, period. That tells something, until Curry gets double teamed on most posessions, he is irrelevant.

    Hahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahaha.

    ROFL.

That is just too funny. This, the same man who was blocked SEVEN times by Yao in a single game, and on one occasion, had the seat yanked from under him, fell hard on his ass to the floor, and slowly stumbled to the bench in complete and utter humiliation?

    HAHAHAHAHAHA.

Eddy Curry is a damn joke, much like the New York Knicks. The NEW YORK KNICKS.

I think the story was placed a little out of context. The NY Daily News had the same quote but with a different angle... essentially pointing to both Shaq and Yao being ahead of Curry. It was Q Richardson who came across disrespectful though...

It is ok for Curry to say something like that. What do you want to say? I am scary of Yao. You know he is, but he can not say. He must have Yao in his dream very night this year. Poor guy, he is a nice young man.

Come on, Curry is only 23, still a kid. He is learning stuffs. Nothing to be ashamed of if he wants to get better against Yao.

I don't understand why those guys in the crappy east confereence could always claim they are so good, like Marbury. Want to prove you are good? Come to west. Playing crappy teams like Knicks and Hawks, doesn't mean anything.

yes, definately misleading on the threadstarters part.

on that article, what's interesting isn't curry but jeffries. depending on how jeffries goes maybe one of their young forwards in their overcrowded frontcourt will become expendable.

How many blocks Yao had on Curry? 5 or 6. Yeah, Yao should play Curry again so that he could set his career record of blocks.
