you know who agitates me the most from that? Quentin Richardson. The guy is saying the only person who can stop Curry is Shaq, who sucks now. That's a clear jab at Yao, which prompted Curry to say something he's gonna regret.

Q is a tool. Curry shouldn't listen to him. Then again, Curry isn't exactly the sharpest tool in the shed either. I just hope opponents are gonna read that quote and have extra motivation to smack Curry and the Knicks around.

Poor Isiah, he probably heard Curry start blabbing his mouth and went, "No Eddy no! Oh damn, too late, now you done it, you made them mad..."

the last game Yao tore up Curry... all the New York Fans were calling him fat...and lazy....

I wonder what they are calling him now... the next MDP!!!

It's too bad we don't play them until next season. Curry is a complete chicken for saying this after our series is done.

"But it's going to be tough (stopping me)."

    is different than

"Yao will have tough time stopping me"

Eddy Curry didnt say the words in quotation marks, so why twist his words and say he did?

Because in the next sentence he said, "It iwll take a team effort to stop me." or something alone those lines, meaning that one center can't stop him.

    end of story?.....dont think so....

After Curry carried the Knicks to a 115-107 victory against Milwaukee on Saturday, Quentin Richardson said that only Shaquille O’Neal could stop him. Despite his soft-spoken and unfailingly humble nature, Curry had to agree.

“I think the way I’m playing right now, it’s definitely going to take a team effort to stop me,” Curry said Sunday.

It is not clear when the switch flipped for Curry, who turned 24 last week. Curry said it was Nov. 28 in Chicago — his hometown and first N.B.A. home — when he realized he could overpower Ben Wallace, a four-time defensive player of the year. Thomas said it was after a Nov. 18 loss to Boston, when Curry scored only 7 points and was booed at the Garden.

Curry has not been held to single digits since an 8-point game against Houston’s Yao Ming on Nov. 20.

“I definitely wish I could play against Yao again,” Curry said.

Well IMHO, Eddy Curry was just trying to get himself onto headlines again by saying Yao Ming will have tough time stopping him.

Maybe he had forgotten that Yao Ming dominated all of his team mates, that Thomas Isiah had to send on 6 different players (??) just to stop Yao Ming, and that Yao Ming handed out 7 blocks, with 4 and 5 of them on Curry's shots the last time they met in Toyota Centre.

Maybe he wants another block feast by Yao Ming on his head again.

Curry still has yet to prove he can dominate against the NBA's elite. Quentin Richardson said that O'Neal is the only player who can stop Curry. That isn't entirely true. Yao went for 35 points and 17 rebounds in his first meeting against Curry, followed by a 26-point, nine-rebound performance 10 days later at the Garden. In those two games, Curry totaled 15 points and seven rebounds.

"I definitely wish I could play against Yao again," Curry said. "I had my opportunity. But it's going to be tough. The way I'm playing now I definitely think it's going to take a team effort to stop me."

especially after he dominated this guy 2 times in a row...

who cares about respect? well im sure you would if the ref's don't call a game fair or treat Yao like a first year scrub....

Eddy Curry is completely harmless. I enjoyed his post game quotes after getting repeatedly pwned by Yao earlier in the season. He seemed to understand his place in life, which is in Yaos' pocket. Now that Eddy has been blessed with not having to match up with Yao again his outlook on life is changing. Rest assured, when the time comes (which won't be for a while) he'll jump right back into Yaos' pocket where he belongs.

Well, across110thstreet said end of story, and you said it's not end. So give me your point to refute across110thstreet. The reason across110thstreet claimed "end of story" was because he indicated that the thread title "Yao will have tough time stopping me" said Eddy Curry is a distorted one, Eddy Curry did not say "Yao will have tough time stopping me". And then you quoted that article, which did not have the quote "Yao will have tough time stopping me" . And this confirms what across110thstreet said.

The thread title is a little misleading. Curry never said that Yao can't stop him but wanted another opportunity to play him, which was sort of tricky on his part to say that now that we don't play him any more until next season.

you are reading way too much into this...

you cant go around misquoting people because they said they would like another chance at Yao Ming...

I read the quote the first time... i read it three times again... EDDY CURRY NEVER SAID "YAO MING WILL HAVE A TOUGH TIME STOPPING ME"

thats all the point I'm trying to make. I'm not trying to read into every quote the Knicks throw at reporters two weeks after Yao served Eddy's butt on a platter...

Yao dominated Eddy Curry twice this season. I know that, you know that...

all the dude said was that hes playing well right now, and that he'd like another chance to play NBA's best center...
