they're not doing anythign special, they're just playing good D on him. His problem is hje isn't finishing. They're pushing him out further away from the basket where if he puts the ball on the floor, he will get stripped easily.

Didn't you see the alley oop dunk in the 4th quarter?

And you must be an ass kisser or a moron. What's even more funny is that you didn't even get the game right. TMac DIDN'T get 31 points in game 1.

Great Jazz defence? What are you smoking? Great defence by Jarron Collins? Yao isn't establishing positions down low. He's missing layups. He's settling for jumpers. He's hesitating on his shot. He got blocked 3 times last night by Mehmet Okur. He IS better than that.

Some people on this board get their panties all tied up in a knot when their favored player gets criticized for playing bad when in fact, they actually played bad. Look in the mirror and you'll find one.

It just hit me that Yao's play on Monday was similar to how he use to play in the days after he would play Shaq. He was usually slow and passive afterwards, likely as a result of overexerting himself. My guess now is that he overextended himself in Game 1 and was too tired to be aggressive in Game 2. Hopefully the two days off will help him recover.

I agree 100%. Yao has not been dominant like he has before his injury, but that's fine. Yao is playing good but he can always play better. His defense is a bit slow, and his offense just isn't at the point where he was before his injury. I'm sure he'll get better as the series go on.

I can't believe some of you guys are automatically dissing the creator of the thread. He has a valid point about Yao not at the point he was earlier in the year. It's a discussion forum - I expect discussions like this not comments like "IBTL" or "STFU".

    Bingo.

He's simply not getting himself in good enough position to finish strong. He's getting a lot of passes where he's 15 ft away from the bucket and then when he takes that large step out for the turnaround fade away he is already a bit out of his range.

I think his biggest issue this entire series has been positioning. I do think though that will improve as the series drags on, if nothing else he will be a lot more familiar with Utah's defense.
