I'm glad that Scola and Landry produced. Scola is a great player, gritty, unselfish, and passionate and I don't care how many times he shoots because he always does so in the flow of the game, unlike brooks and Artest. I will always root for Scola because he's one of the 'good' guys on our team that make the Rockets so easy to root for. However, with that being said, you are obviously our first Scola-only-fan and that fact amuses me to no end.
this post changed my impression of you. i'm pissed by this post. like i said, the so called 99-ers... overrated like lebron's dribble.
Great thread and initial post. Even if Yao's offensive numbers aren't up he is very valuable to this team. He's not a taller Pryzbilla or another Mark Eaton but a guy who changes the opponents game plan. As I've said I don't think we should be force feeding Yao touches but we need his presence to open things up for the other players. I think MadMax is right that you started to see Portland going away from double coverage and Yao got some better looks in the second half but couldn't finish. If Portland is going to stop collapsing on Yao in the next few games look for the Rockets to adjust and find him more. Right now we are in a great position with Portland on D having to pick their poison. Do you want Yao to beat you, Brooks or Wafer or Scola and Landry? We just need to keep on exploiting their weaknesses crack down on their 3 point shooting and the series is over.
Your sarcasm meter broke?? And you take your disdain of one post from a 99er and translate that to all 99ers??? Shame.
