You r right, i'm from china, and comletely a Yao fan, But Slightly i'd like to witness Yao and Rockets' winning, buu i also hope that Yi can score up to 20 or even more. In the coming 2008, China national team would be stronger. :) :)

They got a billion people over there. Percentage wise, that's a small sliver over there who's even interested compared to how many people we have over here watching the Superbowl.

I do no think that number is over-exagerated.

Consider this fact: even if you cannot find other sports facilities in the schools or villages in the countryside in China, you will most likely find facilities for playing table-tennis AND basketball, maybe a half-court only with no clear borderlines. :D

I'd sure like to see which countryside you visited. Table tennis yes. It doesn't require much open space and was one of those sports left from way back in the Mao era.

But if you are talking some 300+ million Chinese people play basketball, you'd better mean that some 300+ million Chinese people have picked up a basketball in their life time.

Put simply, if there are indeed that many people playing hoops, the CNT would have much better talent.

I mean out of the 1.3 billion Chinese people, there are 300+ million who have played basketball for a certain period in their life, for whatever purpose, on whichever playground.

Funny thing is that it will be one of the biggest sporting events on TV worldwide but I can still get tickets to the game in Section 101 Row B Seat 1, its really strange how this will be 'so big' but still isn't sold out and the game's tomorrow.

Are you implying that no Chinese women plays baksetball? That's a little ironic with your user name and all.
