    Jason just said on Twitter...

Rockets just arrived back in Houston about an hour ago. Yao going in for tests, so nothing new to report until later. However...

...rumors that he will definitely miss last two games are false. To repeat:NOTHING decided at this point.

Also worth nothing that Yao and co. still in good spirits and optimistic.

Well, the optimism means nothing to me but the falsehood of the rumors is important. Thanks for posting this.

If Yao misses the last 2 games, there's no way we win the division and you risk not having homecourt. Furthermore, if we have any prayer of getting to the WCF then you have to get away from 4 and 5 spot. We aren't beating the Lakers... esp not in the 2nd rd. If you win the division, maybe you get a break and Portland pulls off the improbable upset in rd 2. Yao doesn't need to sit unless it's a season ending injury... PERIOD!

Seems to me they are doing this FAKE Yao INJURY PRECAUTION just so that other teams won't think they are doing it on purpose to matchup against certain teams. It's will show they are weak if they say they are going to just rest Yao so that a favorable team will be landing against them.

How so? We will beat the Hornets on Monday with or without Yao.

Yao rest on Mon and Tues, but comes back on Wed for the Dallas game. Yao would have a 5 day rest. The Dallas game would just be a tune up for the playoffs.

It would be funny if they decide to "rest" Yao to avoid playing the Jazz.

This sounds like the best scenario for Yao. The Hornets game is at home with the Hornets coming in off a b2b and it will be good if Yao would have a game under his belt before the playoffs.

yeah, it would be quite weird that yao was cracking jokes with deke and feigen if he felt there's possibly something to worry about. after all, it's the player himself knows the best how it feels.

I hope that if the last game of the season against Dallas is a must win (meaning if we lose, we play Utah), they will stick Yao back in.

i agree that we should rest yao for another game and let him come back for the dallas game. i have full confidence that we can beat NO without yao and the plus side to this is that we get to see deke own chandler/west! :p

You must be really good. 6 pages and your source is you have a friend that lives in Houston that is an acquaintance of Keith Jones. Just like how everyone says they saw this person at this place but no evidence to back it up. I don't believe this because one it wasn't on the Chron and 2nd Yao is a big time player and there was no BREAKING NEWS all over ESPN saying Yao is out for the season because of his foot. Everyone knows that Yao has foot problems and they would have been all over this story.

Deke has got his mojo back. We'll beat NO and Dallas with or w/o Yao.
