This Friday will be 2 weeks since the date of the OP. Doesnt necessarily mean Yao will return then.

You then might have "Yao to miss at least another 3 weeks."

    3 weeks later....

    "Yao to miss the season."

Ha, in all seriousness, let's hope he gets healthy and stays healthy, and we're not out of it by the time he returns, when ever that may be. However, move on after the season from the "Yao era".

No injury updates, no word from the organization.

I personally believe this is much worse than we are being told.

I agree. I think any day now we're going to hear that he won't be ready till the All-star break.

The update was already last week. I don't think it changes every day.

Here is the last update from Yao, around Thanksgiving. He thinks he will make it back before Brooks.

The protective boot has been removed. He is ahead of Brooks in coming back.

Brooks is keeping his boot on. Brooks jokes that Yao is trying to hinder his progress by stepping on his feet.

I actually thing there is a good possibility Yao resigns for the vet minimum or close to it.

He has a strong sense of loyalty and understands that the Rockets have stuck with him through all of the injuries and have not given up on him.

He wants to win, and resigning for less will help make that happen.

Yao to return December 7th according to Feigen.

@Jonathan_Feigen: Yao went though shootaround. Practice tom. Planning Dec. 7 return vs. Detroit, T-Mac.
