    Sounds like BS.

For some reason, I get the feeling the Chinese media is spreading propaganda to get everyone to believe that Yao is this monstrous player and the only reason he’s not dominating is because the Rockets organization is holding him down.

All I ever see when posters report "news" stories coming from that Sina site is how Yao is sooo unhappy and depressed here and how he and Mcgrady never talk and how he’s so lonely with all of his “friends” traded away.

I mean give me a break.

    I am flattered :)

I am sorry I do not understand a lick of Chinese (or Mandarin). I am just calling it based on the Yao (the Houston Rocket) I know and the game situation I saw when that shot was taken.

In all the shot went in and we eventually won. Also Yao stepped up and took the shot which is good too. I am happy.

There goes your basketball knowledge. No one ever said Yao don't pass the ball, even those Yao Hators. You used his assist number to support your bash that Yao doesn't pass, which jus shows your true hater color.

Is it that hard to understand that you need to take & make the shot for Yao to get an assist. Yao always pass the ball, and the pass leads to other passes, and to score. Who cares who got the credit, it's the Rockets win, not Yao, or TMac, or anyone else.

I believe in his quote, Yao either meant the play was called for him to pass the ball, or other players yelling at him to pass. But he just chose to shot the ball insetad of passing. Big deal!

Show me the quote where I state "Yao doesn't pass." Please.

    I shouldn't even give you a response.

Under no circumstances should Erick Dampier be averaging more assists than Yao. If someone's going to come into a thread and quote statistics, they better be right.

What i find strange is that Yao is a great passer. He has great court vision. But still he does not have 1 assist per game? i do not understand it.

Isn't Dallas one of the best shooting teams in NBA? Isn't Rockets below the average?

Assist can only be counted when receiving side scores. Maybe our roleplayers haven't get enough wide-open shots because of T-Mac and Yao.

Why does every thread have to be turned to bash one or the other?

    the more important question is

.. why, no matter the team wins or loses, do we have to see SINA articles posted where the translator not oly gives us the low down - but decides to read into the translation and show everyone that Yao is unhappy and wants to be traded to the Lakers

"they" wanted me to pass the ball

could mean the players on the court wanted him to pass the ball cause they were open, but Yao stepped up and hit the shot (making his teammates happy)

could mean that "they" were the Knicks and they wanted him to give up the ball (most likely)

but there is no "they" lying in secret, waiting for Yao, the cornerstone, of the franchise, to get the ball in crunch time so he can pass it to Howard - so Howard gets to hit the big shot and Yao gets put down

Is this a Rockets BBS? I assume there is nothing wong to post information here unless it's absolutely false or without source?
You can have your own opinion, and you may put me on your ignore list as you wish, but I don't think you can stop me from posting information about Rockets I feel might be interesting to other posters.

Now back your question, how do I know whether it was the Knicks or the Rockets he was talking about and why I feel Yao "sounds" like an unhappy tone?

The answer is: Because I KNOW CHINESE.

BTW, I don't mind being called YOF although the only NBA team I'm supporting right now is Rockets and I don't think you can find any post by me showing I'd like to see Yao get traded.
