Well said, a little too logical for some people though , anymore questions as to which why Yao didnt get 50 point and 20 rebounds tonite? They're called adjustments, thats what coaches do. "Wait, yao is scoring alot...lets make the others beat us. What a novel idea!" As soon as the ball was passed into the post they IMMEDIATELY doubled and tripled Yao in teh 2H, unlike the first half where they delayed the double. Everything I want to say has already been said. OP = Charlie Rosen, thats the only explantion I can come up with all the nitpicking.
Didnt know there were so many YOF on this board. Whatever, lets just see how many wins Yao brings us without TMac.
Don't you get sick of using or seeing that term? I guess not when its your only option for a comeback, and a weak one at that.
Another thing is, you should look at some of these so called YOF's registration date and realize they were here way before Yao was even drafted. Some of them are Rocket's fan first more then anything, so becarefull when you or others are itching to throw out the YOF lable to make your case.
YOF? hahaha, how about OnlyRocketPerforming fan? I sorely miss T-Mac. I really wished Barry and DA could be here to help us. I love Rafers quickness and energy. I'm so pulling for Head to develop for us in the long run. I complain about Swift's lack of minutes even when he screws up, b/c we all know everyone else on the court is perfect. Oh wait...I'm a YOF. pfth...
it's wonderful to read criticism about a player who was the only one performing. i guess the inadequecy of the scrubs on our team are immune to it just for the mere fact that they are scrubs.
Seeing as how you registered this past November, you probably didn't even know what the hell a YOF was until 6 months ago. Now you're slinging "YOF" around like some high and mighty true Rockets fan. Just because people disagree with your criticism of Yao doesn't make them YOFs buddy. Throwing that label around and putting on a "me against everyone else" attitude doesn't do anything but make you look like a petulant little child.
Yao will always have stamina problems. His body is not ideal for a basketball player, or any athlete for that matter. Therefore, it's very important for Yao to take time off and rest during off-seasons. The improvement in his overall game this year has a lot to do with him getting last summer off. Also, this is why it's crucial that the Rockets have Tracy McGrady on this team. T-Mac can take over a game in the 4th quarter as good as anyone in the league. Yao can get the team to a good start and Tracy can take us home.
Its definitely Yao's fault - he should have scored 15 more points in the second half to win the game by 1 point. You are absolutely right in pointing out his stamina problem. Well done!
I savin this for the end of teh season, when we can see how many wins Yao will bring us with his second half performing. I predict less than 7.
What does that have anything to do with his stamina? So your're saying if he has less then 7 wins, he has poor stamina?
He is really quiet in the second half of games because of stamina. Teams will be able to pull away in the second half.
I am tired of that clutchness crap. If you go 2-11, and make 2 free throws on the end, doesn't make you clutch. It's not that you win the game for the team. That's you made up a little bit on that 2-11. If you went 3-11 before, you don't need that clutch free throws. It's all about FG%. Second half points don't count more. Of course Yao has stamina problems, he is 7'6 and 300+ lbs. If you run him crazy, he won't have legs in the second half. If you can have a balanced game, 12 points is enough for you in the first half, I am pretty sure he can explode in the second half and get you another 18 points. But current Rockets need him to score 20 points in the half, just to stay in the reach of a game.
