Make that 5. I still can't believe I finished reading his post in the first place. That's 5 seconds of my time I will never get back.

I agree he has stamina issues. Who wouldn't have stamina issues running around, trying to get position while your teammates decides to play hot potato with the ball out on the perimeter?

    you surely have short memories...

always been this way? Yao has ALWAYS been one of the most clutch players in the 4th quarter in his previous years... minus the turnovers, he was absolutely sick in the 4th throughout his careers.

This season with the increased minutes and offensive load, he had some problem in adjusting, but clutchness and effectiveness at the end of the game is one of the lesser things I would worry about.

get everyone healthy and find a couple of shooters, this team will shoot for greatness

Yao's stamina is being over-criticized, I think. If you cut 1 foot off his 7'6 body he will jump just as high as Vince Carter, and run circles with Koby Bryant all day long.

Let's face it, he's stamina is about as good as you can ask for right now, he can give you a solid 37 minutes night in and night out, and you still complain about his stamina?

Conclusion: Yao is not and will never be a 7'6 version of Iverson, stop ask him to cure cancer .

This is full of crap. How can you say Yao doesnt show up in the second half? Dont you think the opponent goes into half time and think of strategies to slow down Yao? Its really beginning to piss me off that people still have something to complain about as far as Yao is concerned. Yao is the man.

When everyone in the building knows you are the only player who can make a shot on your team, and the defense gang rapes you before you even reach the paint, I think you would get a little tired in the third quarter, too.

If you are double or triple-teamed and have to wrestle with 2 or 3 guys in the paint all game long, you would need the stamina of playing a 64 mins game to go full strength throughout a 48 mins game.

Is it too hard for the people who still b**** about Yao's stamina to understand?

That's why Yao needs to occasionally camp his butt in the high post or play a face up game to pace his energy.

Well, even if Yao couldn't get the ball in the second half. At least he should be able to grab some rebounds, but he couldn't. Want to explain why?

I was at the game, not that it makes me get a better view than tv viewers, but adjustments were made on Yao after half time. He went off for something like 27/11 in the first half. The mavs knew no one else had made many buckets/points. It was priority #1 to collapse even harder on Yao in the 2nd half. Yao did a great job still.

You say lack of stamina? I saw Yao taking long fade aways towards the end of the game and hitting nothing but net. The man has become a workhorse that seems to just keep reaching down deeper to try and perform for his team, his fans, and himself. He played something like 35-38 minutes last night I would guess too.

as far as no rebounds, few reasons:

    -fouls.
    -mavs don't miss.
-long rebounds from a perimeter shooting team. So guards will get more rebounds or the mavs got 2nd chance points.

I haven't looked at the numbers, but this is just what I saw watching the game.

    Make that 4 or 5 or 6 or 7........

bplld should watch MORE of Yao Ming's game before he bull craps again.

Did bplld notice Yoa Ming played 38 minutes in the back-to-back game of New Jersey Nets immediately after a 42 minutes game with San Antonio Spurs ??? Stamina problem ?? If he had stamina problem, why do you think he had 36 points/9 rebounds in that New Jersey Nets game ?

Did you notice these play minutes are way above his average minutes per game ?? And what about his contribution per game ? It is just getting better and better.

Kept missing his FGA in 2H of this game with the Mavericks??? He got only 5 FGA in 2H, he made 4 of them, and scored 9. What do you expect ?? It is just the Mavericks converged on him more, and his team mates ignored him and not used him as the Go To Guy but kept laying the bricks themselves in the 2H.

Couldn't have said any better then that. I doubt the OP watch the game at all, and that he just look at the score board to come up with his conclusion.
