writers like Simmons get paid give their opinion and be entertaining, they are not paid to write it from a rocket fan's perspective, why does everyone continuously get their knickers in knot over the negative opinions of writers across the web.... get over it.....

more importantly the yao and tmac need busy winning.. surely thats the only way to prove opinion makers wrong

I agree with Simmons. Yao is a little better than Smits, but not much better. He has regressed this year. What happened to the 30 points, 10+ rebounds, and 8+ free throws?

The Rockets needs Yao to score in the paint and put other teams in foul trouble early. He doesn't help the team much if he shoots a few outside shots while he turns the ball over a few times and allows a few opponent center a few points.

    Yao Ming

    06-07
    25.0 ppg, .516 fg%, .862 ft%, 9.4 rpg, 2.0 apg, 2.0 bpg, 3.5 topg

    07-08
    21.8 ppg, .503 fg%, .872 ft%, 10.3 rpg, 2.3 apg, 2.3 bpg, 3.3 topg

The only things he is doing worse than last year is scoring and shooting percentage. He has fewer TO in more minutes play.
