I don't get it. Did Yao say he'd rather stay in high post?

High post Yao doesn't drew double teams or drew fouls from opposing team, which makes other team's live much easier.Nobody is scared by Shaq when he's in the high post. Same thing goes to Yao, even if he's a better shooter.

Teams used to make an collective effort to push Yao out of the paint. Guess what? Now Rockets does the job for them.

I thought the complaint last year... was Yao clogged up the paint by having so many defenders on him...

brining him to the high post would free up players to cut and slash... and drive into the paint....

we all know how well thats working...

instead we now have people calling the big stiff soft...

we we all know his limitations....

so how is he suppose to be aggressive 15-18 feet from the basket?

as for minutes...screw them... Yao can put up like 30 points in 24 minutes of play... if we pound him the ball 15 or 20 times in that half...

then sit his big stiff ass down....

maybe its time to put him back in the post... p

With the team struggling like it is they need to go back to basic, simple, offense. Yao in the post, PnR with yao and tmac. I know it can get repetitive and "boring" but those are the best plays and the hardest to stop.

I don't mind yao being in the high post on occasion, but seeing him stand 18 ft away from the basket while the offense is struggling is just frustrating.

And especially early in the games, Yao needs to be on the low block every time down the court.

I understand the idea of yao in the high post to open up the lane for others, but that doesnt mean much when no one is really slashing that much.

Yao's lack of free throw attempts is due to high post play. High post is obviously not working as we hoped, so lets park him back down low where dominated for 2 years.
