    i highly doubt this is basketball related.

    they spent a lot of time together when he was coach and undoubtedly became close.

    but then again what would this forum be without outlandish speculation ;)

    Yeah, just two friends having lunch.
    You could always tell that JVG and Yao had a good professional relationship, and respected each other. I think Yao even called Jeff his hero once, in a serious moment.
