Fictitious theories, if spoken enough, become considered fact by many, over time........keep trying......... I'd be more inclined to believe that Yao was seen swinging on a pole with strippers, with Ewing cheering him on........more than I'd consider all this talk as being verified fact, rather than pure speculation.
I think it is at least better than getting half ones posts about the same thing but in lots of different threads. I have kept this thread alive since it is an evolving story - or fiction - which is playing itself out. Remember you heard here first about the players (starting with Yao) quitting on their coach!! Its not a great surprise that Mcgrady uses his period of invulnerability to launch his most direct attack yet on Grumpy@s tactics. Earlier he said that he was sure Gungys ideas was right but that he needed to have the players believe in it. Now, it isnt the right tactics for the team. Put 2+2 togehter and Tmac has not too much positive about the current coaching situation. Alas, the fact that Tmac needed to say that means Gump hasnt been shown the door just yet (contrary to the optimistic suggestion in my previous post).
Well this was originally a 4 star thread and I don't really want to see it going down to one or two by resurrecting it yet again. However I cant resist. Yesterday I posted this: While Yao clearly has his imperfections, if anyone thinks that he got 3 rebounds and 10 points because he is "soft" or that is all that he is capable of have a rather difficult job to explain his numbers through the rest of December. In the Magic trade, the team came dangerously close to getting its heart ripped out. They've now got quite a bit closer! Boki is important in part because Yao is essentially untouchable by JVG (apart from being screamed at gametime). If it is a choice between benching Yao and defenestrating Gump, what will happen? Its not hard to work it out. But that does not mean that Yao does not have a strong opinion on the coaching and management of the team. And Boki was [so it is said] his closest friend on the team. So did Boki get a good deal from the coach? Did JJ get a good deal? Interesting times..
