because i think the whole mess is a major distraction. waiting and waiting and waiting for someone to play who can NOT stay healthy is of no interest to me. been there and done that for too long now. i'm tired of the pretense that, from a health standpoint, he's anything but what every other player who ever played at his size was...except only that he played an assload more minutes than all of them, who all experienced injuries that limited their career by 30 and retired in their early 30's.

and when he's on the court, this team is forced to play 2 entirely different styles. if i thought he could log enough minutes to matter, i'd say that's fine because they should be adapting to him...but he isn't capable of playing enough minutes for that to be a factor...and i don't see him being able to adapt to the kind of up-tempo game this current squad seems to being putting together. i think, at this point, they are a better team just moving on.

yao isn't a huge defensive presence..he's not quick enough to be. this isn't a mutombo, playing out the end of his career.

i think it's well past time to move on...i've been saying that for a long time now, as you know. these injuries are in no way a surprise for a man at his height playing the NBA game. it's just enough already.
