The very first video they should see is the Nate Robinson's block on Yao! If that's a block, then NBA player's blocking number in his state sheet should be double by now!
anyone wanna guess how much he gets fined, I'd say around $10,000 and of course Yao will get screwed in our next few games should we start up a kitty
If things are not chaning, or not fair, tell Stern this: Over 1.5 billions of Chinese around the world(Mainland China, Hong Kong, Taiwan, Macau, Singapore, foreigner Chinese?) are going to boycott the NBA. The city of Houston will go crazy...
I think this is great. Shaq always b****ed, and he always got the superstar treatment. It's time Yao demanded that respect, especially since he's been playing at the MVP level.
It takes a lot for Yao to speak up like this. He has kept silent on this issue all this time. The truth is out now. A fine from David Stern will only generate more bad publicity for the officials and the heavy-handed way he runs things. Do the right thing, Stern, and bring fairness to the officiating.
LOL ... Yahoo, for every missed call I describe, you will counter with a frivolous non-call on Kwame Brown of your Lakers team. A pointless exercise I concede. But you still haven't answered my question why Yao's 4 TOs have anything to do with officiating, which is this thread all about.
Thank you Yao. And also make a comment on the team not giving you the ball and you'll dominate the NBA the next ten years.
Playing 49 mins, launching 35 shots, a focus on every Rockets possesion, and only get 6 free throws, you get the idea
Normally it does, but not in this case. The refs let the inside get very physical, but called very tight for the premiter players. Unfortunately, our strength is inside which didn't get much call, and LA's strength was on the back court, which always got the call. On a different subject, one odd thing I've seen so far with the Rockets is feeding the re-post by Yao. I don't understand why Yao couldn't get the ball when re-post. The only time I saw was last night against the Warriors, where V-Span passed to Yao THREE times in a row with Yao re-posting.
yao played 49 minutes took THIRTY-FIVE shots and went to the line THREE times for 6 foul shots. with the amount of contact he absorbs? that's f$%king borderling cheating right there. francis and mobley (alston and head) cost us the game with their turnovers but we win going away if the refs play fair with yao.
Hey, in his first two years, I actually argued against him being the focal point of the offense because I believed SF3 was the better player at that time. When McGrady comes back, I think the ball should be in McGrady's hands and let him facillitate the offense because I belive the offense will be more effective that way. But today, when he's on the floor, I've seen too many stretches where he doesn't even touch the ball or get the ball with the clock winding down after one of his teamates try to create, failed, and gave it to Yao out of position as a bail out. You run the offense through your best player (not about the actual number of shots taken, I merely believe he should get the ball and involved in the offense on every play).I can understand when there's fronting with a help defender looming every now and then, but there were times (stretches) when that didn't happen and he still didnt' get the ball.
Yao will get fine by the NBA, but it's good to see the big man stand up for himself. It's about dam time.
It makes me sad how screwed Yao specifically gets by the refs and NBA. Imagine if a player like Dirk got refereed like Yao did. He'd average 6 less points a game for sure. Yao has the potential to be THE best center EVER if officiated reasonably fairly, he is simply that good.
Anyone wanna start a website for donations paying off his debt? 1 dollar per person and lets say 50 000 pays. Oh yeah, bash again yao my giant! I wouldnt be suprised if 100 000 payed if chinese ppl started to pay. Hey, if they are going to pay 30 dollar each month for a game called world of warcraft im sure they can help Yao out.
