I'd like to lock you with YM at the same cage and
tell him your training program. you bet YM can finally have the guts for some flagrant/technical calls the next season.

I'm thinking the Chinese government wants to see Yao be successful here in the NBA (ie. post season series wins), so they will be less demanding of him in China so that maybe he can be more successful during the season...in turn representing China in the best way. Not sure if that made sense...

Yao was at Yao's at lunch today, looking relaxed (and tall). I'd love to eat there weekly this summer and see him there every time.

YM is a marvel, with all his work and responsibilties and on court excellence all while being one heckuva man.

he's going to come in next year at 400 pounds, with jelly rolls, a spare tire, and man-boobs.

Time for him to make a baby Yao. Can the Rockets sign Yao Jr. in advance? He could be 7"7 easy when the time comes.

Instead of running on the beach over in Asia, he can run on the beautiful beaches of Galveston Island. Hopefully he can also get in the pickup games over at Fonde. Is Moses Malone still playing over there?

Depends who you ask, I guess.

Hakeem had problems playing at higher altitudes; he'd get winded quickly (Nigeria must be at sea level? Houston certainly is.) Also, he would have bouts with anemia---although, to be the devil's advocate, it seems the anemia would sprout up right before the playoffs began and he would have to "rest."

Apologies if his anemia problem was real, which it very well could have been. Somebody, anybody, feel free to slap me around a bit in cyberspace over this. (Not that I need to send out an invitation :))

Part of it was the fast he did every year for Ramadan. Something like a month long and nothing but liquids. I think that contributed to the fatigue and strength factor for him.

now T-mac needs to teach Yao how to become a pimp

    t-mac: this is stacy
Yao: In my country woman with small feet are considered attractive.
    Stacy: really?
t-mac: you know what they say about a dude with really big feet?
    Stacy and Yao: what?!
t-mac: damn, that dude's got really big feet.

I remember Yao earlier this year commenting on Amare's improvement over last year and how that made him realize how important offseason training can be. I guess he's going to get his wish -- thank God!

ROXTXIA, you about covered it except the irregular heartbeat that kept him out for much of the stretch drive for the '95.

LOL, Drexler bonded with the team, Dream got rest and then we made history. :D

But Dream played heavy minutes throughout his career when he wasn't in foul trouble. And post play was much more physical then. I don't think it's fair to say he had stamina issues excepting playing in Denver and (sigh) Albuquerque.

Finally!!! Thats great news. Now, can we get'em over to the Westside Tennis Center for some streetball w/ Franchise & the other NBA pickup game guys? that'll help him with some attitude.

Someone buy him an extra long jump-rope... besides building stamina, it helps you get lighter on your feet, which is something that would help his game tremendously.
