This is typical of Americans. It only shows how ignorant some of us are. You have no idea about the Asian mind set and Chinese in particular.

    Bad example.

Who says those fights by Hakeem was because of disrespect in any way? From what I remembered of the fights, it's in the heat of the moment. Dream's fight earned him respect ey? People don't go inside on him because Hakeem is a monster at squatting everything in site, period. He does not foul hard intentially or retaliate after he's been dunked on (as far as I'm aware of).

You coming in here claiming a group of over 1 billion people having the same mind set is fairly ignorant also.

What Steve did was wrong, but it was necessary. To reiterate what someone said on the first page... there's no way you let that punk Amare show us up on our home court. This is why I love Steve, he plays with pride and emotion. Even though his game is in a funk now, no one will ever be able to doubt his will and determination.

Dumbass foul costs games, especially someone like Yao who is very important for the team to have on the court. You can have some scrub like Madsen to do the stupid retaliatory foul, 'cause it doesn't matter.

So you rather have Yao foul out early or at least be sitting on the bench and watching Rox get killed. What kind of fan are you? Use your brain more. I know it's frustrating and insulting for Amare to showboat like that. I also wish someone to give Amare so thing in return, but Yao to do it and risk sitting on the bench or foul out? No way I want that, maybe Cato can do it. Yao is too smart to committ a dumb foul for that.

It just goes to show Yao's maturity and his unselfishness. If he's a selfish player, he would only care about Amare disrespecting him and do some stupid foul to gain personal revenge and don't care about the team. Instead Yao did the right thing by letting his game speak for himself, and come back at the punk.

Props for Yao doing the right thing. Props to Steve for getting Yao's back.

Yao is total class, he would never have done what Steve did. Yao just lets his play do the "trash talking". This thread is
    so absurd.

All this thread is trying to do is create tension between those who like Yao and those who prefer SF. Isn't it obvious?

Amare has mostly peaked in terms of his BB development; he's already about as good as he'll ever be. All he can look forward to in the coming years is a long plateau, followed by a sharp decline when his athleticism wanes.

Yao, on the other hand, is still accelerating, still improving enormously month by month. We can all see this. The sky is the limit for him.

I think Amare realizes the facts, somewhere deep down, and wants desperately to prove otherwise. This may account for his behavior towards Yao.

No it was stupid, stupid, stupid. a) it was not a play worth retailiating to, b) if it were a play worth retailating to you have your 9th man power forward do it not your 2nd leading scorer, c) if it were a play worth retailating you do it in a painfull way that doesn't look too obvious (lose elbows to the throat in the lane).

Personally, regarding the title of the thread and evidently the poster who started it, these two post sum of my sentiment--

sorry if I sounded picky or anything... was just trying to relax the atmosphere a bit after reading all these depressing posts today. :( -- that's why I used the smily face at the end.

anyway, I'll apologize if anyone found it of bad taste. just hope rox would go 17-0 the rest of the way so everyone can lighten up... lol
