Yeah like getting gasol had nothing to do with it. Not to make a comparison, but the team tracy had with yao out last yr, kobe's team had more talent. Tracy will be fine. think how many times grant hill let him down.

The only thing I worry about is... were the Rockets playing so well tonight because they were all fired up in the wake of Yao's absence and thus were feeding off of that emotion. Or is this the Rocket team we're gonna, more or less, see for the next few months?

Certainly, I hope it's the latter but when the emotion of Yao being out runs dry in a few weeks we'll know for sure.

the game we played today is similar to how we have been playing throughout this streak, just without yao.

if we can keep this up, making the playoffs will be no trouble.

this was my point- it was beautiful basketball for the most part, players moving w/o the ball, cutting, nice passes to the open man. yao was out, but T-mac stayed w/in the team concept, and the team stepped up. that's encouraging.

i love yao, and i love t-mac, but i love this team even more, particularly when they play the way the way they did tonight.

He also had some nice dunks too. They were playing pretty good defense on the pick and roll and Tmac was just taking two with him so someone would be open.

I think that T-mac kind of gave up on this seaon due to Yao's injury.

Hopefuly his team mates can lift him up during games. People that have obviously been leading this team this year in my eyes would have to be Yao, Landry, Battier and Scola. T-mac has been playing more team ball and less me ball which also benefits the team ;)

Depression usually takes a few days to kick in after a major loss of any kind......we will see how he handles it.

Well, Im sure he was shaken by the loss of Yao. Much like us, he went from thinking that we have a shot at the title, to another possible first round exit that we certainly be shouldered on him by all the T-Mac haters and the media alike. But I do think he will take this opportunity to make the youngsters on this team better and learn this offense better heading into next year.

Tmac did get very excited to see Gerald Green get up and dunk on. I think having Gerald on the team is going to remind MacLady that he is only 29 or 30 and still has something in tank.

Maybe we should stop calling him "McLady" for starters. Everyone knows that Tmac is perhaps a tad overly sensitive. But that's also what makes him likeable. I'm sure he'll be back to form in the Memphis game. I fully expect Scola to step up and fill in on offense. And old man Deke can get a few blocks a game. We can still make some noise.

I think this is a good sign that we're relying on a TEAM concept to win instead of an individual. People b**** too much in this forum.

11 points on 4-12 shooting is not what you want from your star player, BUT common guys...give the guy some slack. If he shoots 50% some nights and takes 22 shots, people say hes a ball hog. When he is the other way around...people say he needs to step up and be the leader of this team.

I take losses to the Rockets personally and Yao going down was a big downer, but this team can do it. If they get out of the first round, then everyone who has predicted anything about the rockets will get it in their face. this team has everything to prove.

We will make the playoffs and will put up a fight in the first round...gauranteed.
If you don't believe me hold me to it if you go to UT. Dinner at jester is on me :D

Without Yao Ming, Luis Scola must play Center position. In Europe he played center position.
