why? I liked what i saw from him, shot wasn't falling but we didn't need it to tonight. He had the block and a couple dunks, and was also getting down the court with some purpose on fastbreaks. Now if this was a close game agianst the mavs and his shot wasn't falling and he kept taking them, than that is a different story.
We rely on teamwork. 12 wins in a row, that's the key. Man, It's not funny to see a forum full of one-sentense thread......
Tracy was shoooting from the outside, mainly 3 ptrs. The one thing that I cant understand is that he was unable to realise that he should have stopped after missing about 5 and gone to the basket to get his game going. On the other hand Coach A should have taken him aside and at the very least insisted that he vary his shot.
At this point, we should be thankful for any wins we get our way. I don't care if we're playing the Globetrotters. Every win is even more important. And if we win by 20+, Tmac can go 0-100 for all I care. There will be more reasonable spots to pick apart his game. I'll hold judgment until then.
t-mac needs to MOVE without the ball. we wont be a fraction of the team sacramento was if t-mac doesnt move. whenever t-mac gets the ball he just holds it for 5 seconds before doing anything. if he's going to do that then put him in the high post so he can pass, not on the elbow which makes other players stand around.
typical ***. pathetic. a 25 pt victory "is not a whole" wth is that? our team is DEEP this year. it's not all on tmac or yao or anybody. sure we need them to rise to their capablities (esp. tmac with yao out now) when we play the best. but it was the wizards. tmac never got his shot going but he kept the team involved early. when the wiz cut the lead, tmac stretched it. he didn't play well, but he didn't need to. this a TEAM: T-E-A-M. no more 1-2 man show.
deke erases A LOT of mistakes my brother. our D will go to another level b/c teams can't kill us with pick and rolls anymore b/c we can switch every one of them. we just need guys to step up offensively to fill yao's void.
if he was depressed, would he have done these things tonight: 1) smiling on the court when his teammates did well 2) high-fiving everybody 3) standing up and waving his towels/pumping his fists after 2 DEFENSIVE plays when he sat down in the 2nd i don't think so. he missed shots. this was a blowout and he cruised. relax. don't over-exaggerate everything, esp. if you guys didn't watch the game.
this just proves how good the coaching and other players are. I can't wait to see how we play against good teams without Yao. lets see if Deke can maintain his quality defense.
I don't blame people for not watching. It would hurt alot more because you know the Rocks won't win it all this year. Getting past the second round is a seriously weak goal.
Let's hope our role players can keep playing at such a high level-into the playoffs (assuming we get in). The Rockets gotta keep playing hard though. Yao being gone is rough and in reality it probably does mean there is no chance at a title, but this is still a good team, a deep team, and with strong play this Rockets team is still capable of a playoff birth and a playoff series win or two. ...And with a little luck... who knows?
I thought this was one of the best games of the year. The team could have freaked out, blown the game, and everyone would have said, "Well, what else did you expect?" Instead, they played incredible defense, a real team effort, and everyone stepped up on the offensive end. And it's really mind blowning that they did this with McGrady having a lousy shooting night. I was really encouraged. We'll have to see if they can keep it up game after game and against different matchups. Why the hell not?
he scored only 11 points cause 1. he wanted to dedicate that to Yao or 2. he wanted to dedicate that to Maxwell
