    LOL:D

    You forget this:

    Yao vs. Codell
It's insulting to Codell. Yao has 0 posts & codel 4000+. Yao is 7'5 and Codell is a whopping [fill in the blank] tall. Yao is way more funnier than Codell and he can hit the threes.

I bet Yao is more popular than Codell too.

You know what I feel sad about codell? He is not trying to bash Yao only, he is trying to bash all of those sport stars!

A very qualified Hakeem only fan:) and that, definitely needs to be fixed!

Guys, this is the gayest* poll ever. Yao has had no damn chance whatsoever to show what he's got. Therefore everyone will choose hakeem including me. GAY POLL!

your an ignorant fool too, newcomber. I guess you werent there when Dream won Houston its first ever championship of any type of sport. Hes the only sports player in Houston that has that much legendary status. Everyone still loves Dream, becasue we saw what he did, unlike you(the fact that you said that Dream should be forgotten you probably did not go through the times when Dream won those back to back championships).

Can we combine this thread with the Dream vs. Admiral thread and have a Yao or David Robinson poll? ;)

    Shanghai Sharks,

You know why I feel sorry for you? Because you are nothing more than a Johnny come lately, and you have admitted as such in this thread.

You are a Yao only fan dressed in Rocket fan clothing. Every thread you have ever started has been about Yao. Even your nickname is a clear example of where your loyalty lies. The fact that you imply that I am a fake Rocket fan has no basis seeing as how I was a fan before Hakeem came along and am still a fan afterwards.

The funniest thing about my satirical post, which pokes fun at the Yao only fans, is that you and RVpals took it personal to the point you had to respond to it, even though my post was not directed to either one of you. If you are not a Yao only fan, then why respond? The fact that both of you responded, shows where your loyalty lies.

Hehe, codell, you sound mad and indeed take this personal now:( Calling my name and then group me with Rvpals?

If you intended to "poke fun", why others don't have the same right to do it against you?:)

Enough said, now no point to continue the debate, cease the discussion.

 So sensitive you Yao fans are!!! Anyways, I voted for Hakeem, the obvious choice. And for everyone out there, the name of team is "Rockets", say it with me now, ROCK-ETS. I can't stand it when people refer to the team as "Rox".

Actually, if you look back in the thread, you are the one who started calling people "Hakeem only fans" way before anyone mentioned "yao only".

    Pot, kettle. Kettle, pot.

Certainly others have that right and it has been excerised much to my delight since I have been around this BBS. ;)

There was no point to continue the debate when its obvious you know very little about Hakeem the player or Hakeem the person and are clearly biased towards one player.

I will be looking forward to your next all about Yao thread.

    ;)

since you are so willing to continue...:)

    1) I believe you started using "yao-only" way before I used "hakeem-only";

    2) Don't you still get it, as the poll suggested the hypothesis that we knew nothing about both two or only knew a little about them after their first year.

    3) Every Rockets (per Kuli9) fan has their most favorate players, if for you it happens to be Hakeem, for me it happens to be Yao, no surprise there. If I post a thread all about Yao, it is all about Rockets too.

    4) I really look forward to seeing more all about Hakeem thread here, too bad he is retired, and as a Raptors.

This is all I'm gonna say about this subject:

Comparing Yao to Hakeem is exactly like comparing Shanghai Shark to the one of the most brilliant millitary strategist ever. There should be no comparison. Yao showed me glimpse of the bright future of the Rockets, but Hakeem didn't make us hope for the future, he was that good from day one. I believe Yao can get there, but don't say he'll be/is better than Hakeem.

They are both Rockets and I want both of them to be remembered as fondly as possible. There should be no comparison.

I thought your post is funny, why would you think I'm taking it personally? You surely don't appreciate a sense of humor. The fact that I respond because I thought your post is quite something, it's outrageously ludicrous I LOL.:D

I can truly appreciate your humor in doing all the comparison with the past great athelets because I know all about every single one of them. I am probably more qualify to talk about Hakeem because I read every books about him including his autobiography. I watched him play since he came out of University of Houston.

BTW, there's no Yao Only Fans, there's only Yao haters/bashers & people bashing Yao supporters & people that can poke fun but can't stand being make fun of.

Bottom line is if you saw Hakeem in his prime, than there is no doubt in your mind. He was as good as anybody before him and since. He carried a team to a chamionship w/o the benefit of having another star. If Dream would have had the benefit of having another superstar for the majority of his career. We wouldnt be talking about the Rockets 2 Championships we would be talking about the great rocket "dynasty" of the 80's and 90's. Luckily Yao has another superstar so lets see what happens.I love Yao maybe one day he can reach Dreams level of dominance but Dream is a sure thing. Its no guarantee Yao will ever match Dreams dominance. So why pass up the guarantee in Dream? And like somebody said earlier we have/had both of the so why argue?

    Codell,
    Pot, kettle.
More and more, you show your color as a Yao's hater.
If you have any backbone, admit that much or prove me wrong. :)

And when did you join this BBS?
Quit labeling people that recently joined.
Quit claiming to be a Rockets fan as your exclusive right!
