Personally, neither Steve nor Yao deserve to be in the All Star game this season. If any Rocket does it is Cat, although I doubt he will make it. He has been the most consistent Rocket (minus the past 3 games) this season. Brad Miller should make, that guy is actually playing well.

How come since they started showing the results of the voting they put the picture of the top vote getters in the east and west. But they never have Vince Carter's picture there.

If Yao doesn't make it as a starter, I hope they write up some excuse for him to miss the entire All Star weekend and get some rest.

I know that. At this point in voting Yao is not in the All-Star game, and I don't think the coaches would select Yao over Miller. That's why I mentioned the rookie game (for those that think Yao would get to rest if he didn't go to the All-Star game).

Maybe it would look funny to have his picture twice in the same article.

Actually rookie game draw much less attention than all-star game, and it is a day before All-star game. So by the time all- start is going on, Yao will be home already and rest for one more day.

I love Yao, but he is the third best center in the West right now behind Shaq and Brad Miller.

    You're thinking of Duncan.

Yao does not deserve to be in the all-star game this year. I'm a huge fan of Yao's, but he's not playing well enough to warrant it. Especially his play of late.

When did "deserver" has anything to do with "all star game" now? If Yao is popular, why not playin gin the ASG? I am shocked Yao is still trailing Shaq. Remember, Yao is supposed to be the most influential athlete in 2003?

Well I didn't vote for Steve or Yao ... don't think they deserve to be there this year.

Ming didn't deserve it last year also. He will be good but the experts seems to be correct It's going to take years for him to learn the NBA game. He will adjust because of his desire to win. But he's not ready to take over anything yet.

As for the All Star game, I will vote Rockets everytime because I am a Rockets fan. So what if they don't deserve it. Did an injured non-playin' Vince Carter deserve it a few years ago???

It's who the fans want to see and I want to see the Rockets there. Simple as that.

Ah... the things I do for free stuff. I went to one of the games this season and they had this promo if you filled in 100 all-star ballots you get some free stuff... so I just about missed 2 quarters to fill in 100 Yao Ming's, 100 Steve Francis's.... and um... the rest were the first random hole I could punch out (it got annoying after a while, yanno?)

Why Yao and not Shaq? 'Cos Yao's dot was easier to locate than Shaq's and I didn't wanna miss any more of the game that I had to... =/

It was a total travesty last year when he won.
