Just because you learned all there is to know if three years does not mean everyone else is as gifted.

5 rebounds in 22 min against team USA? Isn't that a pretty good stat line?

I think I remember JVG recently saying he needs a 4 who can shoot the 3? Is Badiane a good 3pt shooter.

He's deadeye from range; in fact I'd be suprised if he doesn't win the three point contest next year. He just needs 5-10 more years of seasoning in the German leagues and then we'll bring him over - why not? Better than ex knicks.

Badman is probably about a 10% 3p shooter, but I think he will season better stewed in some good Austin BBQ sauce and Tex-Mex herbs. I've never been much for German cooking since my German gramma fed me. Pretty bland food.

I would like to see him get his head served up to him on a platter by some NBADL forwards and have him force fed, rather than playing Euro ball some more with some pansy @$$ Germans. Hey I can say that _ I am one! :p

I could see Malick Badiane being a 3rd string center/back up power forward in a couple years. Mutumbo will have to retire sometime this century and we'll get a new back up via free agency and then Malick will be his back up. He'll be the guy we use to send Amare Stoudamire and others to the line. That's about all i see in his future. :(

Remember, the guy should be graduating college right now. Basketball has a short window of opportunity to prove yourself.

If that is the case, then he can do that now. Houston needs a third string center/back up PF right now.

Why wait a couple of years when he can do that this season?

Badiane's athleticism, rebounding & shot blocking is already there, it is his offense and BB IQ that still requires seasoning.

Houston does not need his offense right now, not with Yao-Tmac-Battier on this team.

Heck, the Rockets do not even need him to play significant minutes, yet.
