I'm not sure about flopping, but when he's on offense and is getting hacked while being doubleteamed, he needs to force his arms up into the air while the ball is getting raked from his hands to get a foul call. Or keep the ball up in the first place.
You guys need to watch the game a bit closer. Yao has already started to learn how to flop. He's a bit awkward when he tries, but he definitely has been exaggerating the "getting fouled" bit. He doesn't do it often, but when he tries it, it's funny to watch because you know he's not used to it.
If you want Yao to get the calls he deserves and gesticulate a little, that's not flopping. There's a fine distinction between falling at a hand check to get calls and falling after a hard bump to let the refs see. Do teams have coaches to teach flopping? I bet the Jazz does.
Yeah, get Stockton to be our assistant coach. He can teach Ming how to flop, and he can teach Steve how to pass. He can also teach our players how to foul without getting called.
