That would be a bad trade since Garnetts been in the league going on 10 years.
I totally agree with you. TMac sucks! TMac sucks! TMac sucks! TMac sucks! TMac sucks! TMac needs to improve or go! TMac needs to improve or go! TMac needs to improve or go! TMac needs to improve or go! Good, now I've shown I am a fan of the Rockets and not loyal to one player. Everyone, please praise and love me! I also agree, that Yao shouldn't let anyone shorter score on him. A very good example is Shawn Bradley. No one should ever score against big Shawn. The dude is freaking 7'6! In fact, Lakers used to put Shaq on Bradley is a great insult to Bradley. Bradley needs to take it personally as well. He's a good 5 inches taller than Shaq, and he should never, I mean NEVER, allow Shaq to score on him. To earn my respect, Bradley needs to shut down the entire NBA! No one should score on him. Oh, Nene is the best player in the NBA, I really believe.
Yao Ming deserves a trade. He got to think about his future: he has done everything to contribute by sacrificing his statistics, He needs to touch the ball more often instead of running back and forth on the court. He needs to get at least15 shots a game. As you know, Yao must go to the cheap team such as Hornets, he can release his bright ability. If he still stay at Houston, he will be always the shodow of T-Mac
Two paragraphs, two stupid points. 1. What wrong with loyal to a player in a ROX uniform??? Isn't Rocket a team of PLAYERS? It is true that Yao didn't perform well in all 7 games, but neither did Tmac. No one did perfect in all 7 games. So if Yao cost us 2 games, then everyone else did also. 2. Do you really think Dallas wanted to let Howard guard Yao? They had no choice! Because Yao was dominating their big men and making them in foul trouble. And now you are making this sound like Yao can even be guarded by Howard. I will blame Yao if he played subpar in this playoff, but he didn't! He played with hearts and performed much better than regular season (without any breaks) despite tough officiating. And you guys still have guts to call him out and want to trade him. UNBELIEVABLE!
this thread sucks its obvious that KG is on a different level than YAO, but we still aint trading him. why coz yao freakin rules... ok goodbye.
first off, dream juked and and faked DOWN LOW. second, everyone knew the dream shake was coming but couldnt stop it. b/c of HEIGHT and quickness. Yao is capable of doing the same IF they coach him to do so. that is closer to what Yao seems comfortable doing.
Some of the anti-Yao rhetoric in here is overstated, IMO. But let's be real: Yao Ming is playing way, way, way below his potential. Play back the 4th quarter of Game 7 in Dallas. Yes, that awful stinker of a game. Watch Yao's behavior in that quarter. Watch how he grabs rebounds like his life depends on it. Watch how he abuses his defender inside. Watch how he gets open, catches, and stuffs. The guy looks mad. He looks on fire. He looks determined to dominate. If Yao Ming had played this way for 1 more quarter here or there in the Dallas series, we'd be in Phoenix tonight. The future of this team hinges on whether this man steps up to his potential. And if you really respect him, you'll hold him to that.
Agree with your view in general. Yao's main problem is his lack of initiative. I think the reason he did not play strong enough in some of those quarters is because his teammates did not invovle him in offense nearly enough. He should have taken initiative to demand his teammates (even including TMac) for the basketball.
im not sure when or how i got it. i think it may have been when i got into an argument with brian kagy
yao is not quick enough to do what dream did. and you want to continue to argue that it was dream's height that allowed him to get these shots off but it was not. if anything dream was undersized against most of the centers he played against. it was his insane athleticism that allowed him to do this. i don't know how you can argue that his height is what allowed him to do what he did in the post. he wasn't posting up 6'6" guys...he was posting 6'10+ guys...guys who were his height or taller. second...you seem to be confusing the idea of comfort with what is best. yao came in being more comfortable with the perimeter shot and not dunking. that is simply not what is best. if you have not noticed yao has been dunking a hell of a lot more lately. do you agree with this? does he look uncomfortable dunking to you? do you agree that his inside game is a lot more high percentage than his outside game? do you agree that he draws more fouls when he is inside than outside? i feel like i have to ask you question by question so i can have some idea of what you are thinking in your mind.
100% agreement here. That is what makes Yao frustrating. I always remember that game in the 4th quarter against the Suns where he slaughtered Amare when he was put on him. It's just watching Yao play with that passion that is so inspiring and makes you realize how great he could be. When he is like that there is none of the clumsiness or sloppiness...it's something great to watch.
Yeah, same here. I don't post unless I think I can provide quality comments, but it doen't mean that I am a troll.
When it comes down to it, bastket ball is an entertainment for the fans an a business for the owners. Here are some facts that no one could dispute. Regardless of Yao's on-court performance, he is a fan-favorite. That is why he is voted to all star three years in a role. He is a huge draw, so he creates tremendous revenue for the owner. Do you think ANYONE in the league, save Michael Jodan in his prime days, has such market potential?
