You must live in California. You desperately want Yao there, and you're talking down his value. Nice try.

Right, and Blacks love to eat chicken and watermelon. How old are you, 12? Stop acting such like a ignorant little boy.

yes trade Yao, maybe the Yao haters will go with him to whevere he goes and act like b****es on that board, and us Rox fans can go back to saying things like "I think we can do better" without some jackass screaming "Yao's not aggressive enough" or "Howard shoots too much"

Is Yao that really tall guy sitting on the bench?

He'll be a 20/10 guy by the end of th season. Some of you guys just need to take a valium. It's just a game. ;)

This one should be locked because it's so negitive.

Yao plays very hard and when he gets the ball he was very effective. It's not his faul if he could not get the ball.

Yao definitely has been pampered like a king. The guy treats opponents with the same respect he treats his teammates in practice. The guy still doesn't realize that Rasho broke his arm in purpose. He's Rik Smits with a little better stats at this point, and Rik retired after around 10 years. Either Yao will have to change his mentality, or he will retire from the NBA since he can or does not want to change his mentality.

Maybe it would be good for Yao if the Houston crowd boos him.

T-Mac came because fighting it would have been futile. If he had a choice, he would've gone to Miami with Shaq.

What has Houston invested in Yao? Nothing really. Rockets got rid of Rudy, and it will get rid of Yao.

The best thing for TMac is for Yao to get back to being a good player. The guy would not have been on national TV yesterday without Yao on the team. He would have been playing in anonymity versus the New Orleans Hornets. As much as TMac has been a great player, the guy can reach a whole new level of exposure with all the national TV games. TMac went here because of Yao, but it's because Yao is a marketing magnet for ESPN. People probably went to the mall to buy some TMac basketball shoes after watching him slam the Grizzlies.

Yao needs to step it up. However, this season might humble him so much that he accepts a contract of around $8 million a year which would help the Rockets flexibly in the future. Yao is no max contract player when looking just at the on court production. The guy is not even producing more than Dampier now. Maybe Adonal Foyle is more of a comparison now. Yao knows this is his contract year too. You'd think he would be aggressive knowing he likes money so much with all those endorsement deals he chases.

Yao need not be motivated every single game. He should already develope that coming into this year. And yet we still see him going back being soft and still afraid of body contact. Where is the bump and shove and trying to establish position. One thing i want to point out though...Yao still need to learn how to use his body wisely. Teach him to bump his opponent's body a split second before going for the rebound. That way you get your hands first on the ball before your opponent did...that's how Shaq cheat and steal the ball time after time even when he's behind his opponent...he bump first and jump while his opponent trying to recover from the bump. Instead of seeing Yao body contact someone before going for rebound...i seen players bumping him before going for the rebound...no wonder he ain't getting rebound cuz he is out of synch. Also teach him to when post up and making body contact...don't hit it initially with all his power that way you can easilly get call for a charge and that's one easy way for opponents to flop. He needs to be taught of how to grind contact instead of coming blowing people out type of contact which result in charging foul almost every single time. I like to see Yao use the grinding contact like Shaq did with his strength and don't give up so quickly....continue trying to establish position instead of giving it up so quickly. Set yourself up as a tree and move people instead of you being moved.

See the problem with Yao is the same freaking problem that plague him last year. He lacks the killing instinct and constantly need to be reminded that he needs to play with that instinct. WHen opponent pushing him around...he gives way and move along with the push...he lacks the killing instinct of pushing it back (as if to say i am "DA MAN ain't nobody going to push me arund"). Why the hell it has to be Shaq for him to get that instinct back. Why the hell it has to be playing for China for him to get that killer instinct back....he needs to grow up and do that in every single damm game. I think every Yao's problem will be solved if he play with that motivated instinct. It's THAT mental instinct...that"KILLER INSTINCT," that "I don't give a SHYT who you are ....i am going to destroy you" kind of instinct that he needs to bring in every game.

Some people can play great without that mental killer instinct like TMAC but Yao needs to play angry for him to be great on the court. I think he's just a better player when he's playing mad...because if he's not...he's just going to go back to playing like a girl every SINGLE GAME!!! I am serious...

I really think he is favoring his left elbow and that is making him tentative. Even if he doesn't go up strong in general, i think he is going up softer now that he has his elbow bothering him.

I remember the first time David Robinson played against Yao he was quoted in the paper saying Yao was a god player and was going to be like Rik Smits. There were howls of protest and righteous indignation on CC at the time. Maybe Robnison, a guy who spent years playing against some of the best early and late in their carrers, knew what he was talking about.
