So how's that link going? Oh wait, It's not there. I even tried searching myself but the only thing that popped up was that Shane said Scola has been the MVP for us in the regular season.

Yao Ming is the best center in the world when healthy. Live with it, and stop living in the past. It's not like a you are a Rockets fan anyways.

I generally agree with you but you completely lost me when you listed "2) luis scola WAS the MVP of the first round and reg. season. shane battier said so, NOT ME. SHANE BATTIER SAID THOSE WORDS." Whether those were your words or Shane's words, the fact that you listed them to prove your point means you somewhat believe it too right? Luis Scola was mvp of our regular season with 12-8 stats? Don't get me wrong, I love Luis and he's definately a keeper but let's be serious.

Yeah, I wouldn't take that to mean he literally thinks that. But it shows how highly he, and probably the organization, thinks of Scola. That comment reflects more on Luis than Yao.

shane is the pulse of the team. what he says and does generally reflects what the team thinks (and trust me, i've had my gripes with shane's offense this past year).

yao is EASILY the better player. let's not get ahead of ourselves here and go comparing yao and scola. and the MVP isn't always the best player.

but what shane and i saw is scola's consistency and hustle and ability to adjust his games on who's playing and is the ONLY guy who runs adelman's offense. his 13 and 9 on just 30 mins of play and limited touches and having to go against a lot of the best PFs is key.

you take scola off of this team and you'll see a huge struggle offensively. trust me on that. like i said, he's the only guy who can play both with the starters and 2nd unit. he can play half-court style with yao, then switch to adelman's offense with the 2nd unit.

When someone doesn't agree with you your favorite come back is that their a Tracy fan boy. You need to take a step back and look in the mirror if you do that you will see that what you call others you're really talking about yourself.

That's right, Dwight going 1-6. The lakers played the same defense that they play against the Rockets. Instead of swarming Yao they were swarming Howard. Similar result except Yao had several big games in the series because he's more versatile. Let's see if Howard can adapt.

Yeah that's always his reply when someone argues against Yao, attack the person and call them a tracy fan, when we all know what kind of fan he is.

Hey, so go tell me where Shane Battier said Luis Scola was the MVP for the 1st round. I'm still waiting. Or is it BECAUSE YOU DON'T HAVE ANY LINK AND BECAUSE YOU JUST MADE IT UP COMPLETELY? I think so.......

I actually don't mind saying Scola was the MVP for the regular season, but in the Blazers series it was all Yao. Probably another secret way of saying Tracy is better than Yao.

I do not understand why there are so many 'true Rocket fans' here trying really hard to convince the whole world Howard is so much better than our franchise player.

I went to the Lakers board, I did not find as many posts saying Lebron is better than Kobe

I went to the Jazz board, I did not find as many posts saying CP3 is better than D Will

I went to the Bulls board, I did not find as many posts saying Rondo better than Rose

Dude you can't be serious. This has nothing to do with Tracy but yet you seen to find a way to put him in it.

the thing is, you CAN be a fan of players. that's fine. chouje is a yao fan, but he's very respectful and receptive of criticisms of yao and hand out his own.

i enjoy watching tracy play, but if he played like anything this past year, i wouldn't mind if people call him a scrub, b/c he was one.

that's all it is. it'll make for a better discussion if people actually don't mind criticisms.

Just because we are Rockets fans doesn't mean we have to be blind.

Look, Im always high on Shane and Scola. Unlike others, I didn't really mind whether they score alot as long as they do others things on the court. However, MVP ususally is always the best player. Yao was our MVP last season and Tmac was our MVP the season before that. I'm not trying to take anything away from Scola; I really do love everything he does especially since he's the best pf we've had for a long long time.

So the true Rocket fans are so special, all other teams fans are blind?

Or you are saying Howard is so much better than Yao that CP3/D Will comparison cannot apply?

Yao play only 2 games vs those teams.

The first two game Howard played vs the same teams his scoring wasn't that good.

P- playoff game r regular season

    Howard Yao
    21p -17.5r N/Ap - 13.5r Vs Phily First 2 games
    14p -12.5r N/Ap - 17r Vs Boston First 2 games
    20p -17.5r N/Ap - 23r Vs Clev First 2 games
    12p -21.5r N/Ap - 28p - 15.5r* vs LA First game and 2 regular

Yao played only 27 minutes the first regular season game vs due to a massive 30 point blow out LA put on Houston.

Note: Regular season involve traveling, back to backs, lineups changes, not enough preparation vs a team etc.

Yes a lot of team fans are blind. Its people in Denver that thinks Melo is better than Wade or even Kobe.

I never said Howard was better than Yao, but some people here take it out of control when others say it like its not even a close.

I've been saying this for the past year that its about a tie between two, but if you factor in health, age, and everything else I have to go with Howard. And heres the main reason Yao doesn't seen like hes going to get better at this point where Howard only 23 I think has yet to reach his prime.
