Coach Harris did treat Yao very nice. There were days when Yao was criticized severely early in the 05-06 regular season, Coach Harris once went to Yao in a game Rockets played against Mavs and encouraged him. I believe Yao repects him very much.

wow i've only read through the first couple of pages of this thread and otisthorpe3 seems to be a cancer or something. geez we get your point you don't like yao get off the thread ya jazz fan. anyways yeah it was surprising as to why jeff didnt use kirk... ehh no need to cry over split beans we can't live in the past. hopefully yao comes back earlier and trains with hakeem. if yao can really improve his speed then those post moves that hakeem teaches would be greatly appreciated. :D

Did anyone notice that Yao moved to a new home after some stalkers followed him home after one of the game?

Great to hear that ........Yao Ming is determined to make this happen......training with Hakeem "The Dream" Olajuwon in the summer.

And that troubled left big toe nail has to be dealt with once and for all....

It was disclosed by Big Yao's agent, Team Yao's Erick Zhang Mingji that towards the end of the regular season and throughout the 7-game playoff series, Yao Ming had to inject anti-biotics and painkiller to prevent further infection and deterioration of the bad left big toe.

Wow Dream's finally gonna coach Yao.

One question, can he suit up and play backup in case Deke leaves?

Well, when Hakeem Olajuwon got up to leave the changing room after consoling the downcasted Yao Ming after Game 7, the witty Big Yao popped up with the following question: "Dream, who are older? You or Mutombo ?"

Maybe Yao Ming is also interested to find an answer to your question !! :D

If only the dream would agree to tutor yao throughout the season to help mold yaos mentality. I think yao could learn a great deal more with a person like hakeem around him like ewing was.

You know who I think would give yao the most help i this area? BILL RUSSELL

That guy was pure energy, fercociousness, and tenacity. Part of the reasons he won so many rings. While he did not have the numbers or style that wilt had, he pretty much owned him when it mattered the most.
That is the kind of competitive fire that yao needs.

Somewhat veiled question referring to Hakeems ability to still play the NBA game. Hence, if Hakeem played Yao straight up, what kind of challenge or tutoring would he get? Also, if Mutumbo can still play, why not Hakeem? LOL

The Dream on Yao in the last year Summer training:

Before that time comes, Olajuwon would like to spend time working with one particular student.

"Yao Ming, of course," he said. "He is mobile enough to be a force. He runs the floor very well. He has a soft jump shot, good skills. For him, it is just the concept, the job description, that he must learn. That lane, it belongs to him. Everybody has to go through you. You reject everything that comes in there. It is your house.

Why don't you give us more detail, including link(s) with proof (sort of) that Wang Meng made stuff up?

If you can't, refrain yourself from making outrageous claim.

I dont think it's fake. But I think Pryuen has once again sensationalized a lot of stuffs there to make it more exciting and interesting for us Rockets fans to read. That's what makes it sound fake. I think Pryuen will do a better job in writing novels than doing translations.
